That would actually explain one of my crew. At least my cat doesn’t chain-smoke.
Umm... But actually, you are.
Oh, and a public (taxpayer supported) school does NOT have the same right to set rules that a private movie theatre does.
who in the world would let a stranger take off with their kid for a week?
Just for discussion...what about their destructive, hyperactive, snot-nosed Nephew. Is that so wrong? Sometimes life's lessons have unexpected teachers, I say...Think: Mr. Miyagi meets Vlad the Impaler as just one such possible eclectic Educator.
So...it is still UNAMERICAN.
You can’t have your pudding if you don’t eat your meat!
The school was in England. I am not familiar enough with England’s form of government to know if a “select” school in England has a “right” to set up rules or not.
Because it was in England, I decided not to discuss whether the rule was a good or bad rule, and simply discuss the matter of the mother’s reaction to being punished for breaking the rule.
That is why I said I was not defending the rule, but defending the idea of having rules.
If this had been a school in Virginia, my first comment would have been about the absurdity of having a chocolate rule. I would have then withdrawn that comment when I learned that the rule was a HOTEL rule, and that the school had made provisions for snacks in appropriate places in the hotel, and this girl had decided to ignore the rule and party with her friends in their room and the mother seemed to have supported breaking the rule.
