How a Miami School Crime Cover-Up Policy Led to Trayvon Martin’s Death
American Spectator ^ | 7-15-2013 | Robert Stacy McCain

The February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martion might never have happened if school officials in Miami-Dade County had not instituted an unofficial policy of treating crimes as school disciplinary infractions. Revelations that emerged from an internal affairs investigation explain why Martin was not arrested when caught at school with stolen jewerly in October 2011 or with marijuana in February 2012. Instead, the teenager was suspended from school, the last time just days before he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.

Trayvon Martin was not from Sanford, the town north of Orlando where he was shot in 2012 and where a jury acquitted Zimmerman of murder charges Saturday. Martin was from Miami Gardens, more than 200 miles away, and had come to Sanford to stay with his father’s girlfriend Brandy Green at her home in the townhouse community where Zimmerman was in charge of the neighborhood watch. Trayvon was staying with Green after he had been suspended for the second time in six months from Krop High School in Miami-Dade County, where both his father, Tracy Martin, and mother, Sybrina Fulton, lived.

Both of Trayvon’s suspensions during his junior year at Krop High involved crimes that could have led to his prosecution as a juvenile offender. However, Chief Charles Hurley of the Miami-Dade School Police Department (MDSPD) in 2010 had implemented a policy that reduced the number of criiminal reports, manipulating statistics to create the appearance of a reduction in crime within the school system. Less than two weeks before Martin’s death, the school system commended Chief Hurley for “decreasing school-related juvenile delinquency by an impressive 60 percent for the last six months of 2011.” What was actually happening was that crimes were not being reported as crimes, but instead treated as disciplinary infractions...

There’s also the report from a Sanford cop that he found a slim jim (burglery tool) in the bushes near the altercation a couple days after the event.

Martin was not on the sidewalk, he was walking close to the buildings like he was looking in the windows. There had been a number of burglaries by “Yoots” in hoodies, including Zim’s elderly next door neighbor while she was home. Sounds suspicious to me. He was on suspension from school, yet his parents were letting him out of the house. My parents would have me locked in my room, as I would my son, for getting kicked out of school. Read the article about what was going on in the school district. He had been caught with stolen jewelry (including wedding rings) and burglary tools in his backpack, but no charges were filed.

Knocking ‘crackers” (soon to be infidels) to the ground and beating/killing/gang raping them, is a game for many teen black boys. They often beset their target as a cowardly, racist mob.

That is what got Trayvon killed and it will get others killed, too. God forbid we ever lose the right to defend ourselves from racist gangster/Muslim thugs with a firearm if necessary. In the Zimmerman case, it was going to be racist Trayvon or the targeted cracker, George, who would lose their life.

We live in a racist and violent society created by radicals at the behest of liberals. They want to make whites submissive to minority thugs and their diversity of hatreds and intolerance. With white armed and with the right of self defense, the plan has not worked here as it has in Britain. That is why liberals are blowing this Trayvon case up. They want the power to intimidate whites so they stop defending themselves and the Republic/constitution with firearms and words and submit to leftist/muslim thug threats via fear.

It’s super important for anyone who is not a racist thug to keep liberals out of power. This goes double for whites.

No, you are not allowed to ask that. The thought police have taken your name, and you are on notice.

I wrote something similar a few weeks ago. Every adult in his life let him down and facilitated the thug life he was careening toward with reckless abandon. From what I can see, he would have ended on a slab sooner rather than later and instead of being a tragedy, he would have been a statistic.

Is one allowed to wonder why a teenager on suspension from school, a second time for a major infraction, allowed by his family to wander a strange neighborhood? Weren't they enabling his bad behavior? (am I allowed to ask that question?)

Don't forget that it took his Helicopter Daddy 24 hours to realize his feral offspring hadn't stopped by to steal any cough Medicine in a while, so he placed his first call to Juvi. Detention. Even though a death by gun had accured 385 feet from his back door. Then after realizing boy wonder had assumed room temperature it took him 3 days to claim his Body.

...”We sure haven’t heard much about St. Martin’s dysfunctional family. It’s worth noting that his court room mother has a different last name - Fulton. There were at least two other maternal figures in his life - the woman who raised him from a toddler until some sort of break up with his father while St. Martin was in his early teens, and the father’s current girl friend, the woman whose house he was staying in after his latest crime spree. I wonder if this might have had an effect on his behavior?”...

Did anyone interview the Mother who raised him? Does she have any right to sell a book or receive money for interviews?

If I was on the jury, the fact that the prosecution case made no mention of what a nice boy Trayvon was would have told me that Trayvon was anything but a good kid.

Sometimes, what isn’t said is more important than what is said.

So many home burglars break in to homes, even at night, when people are home. They use a screw driver to pry window open, take jewlery and money, in a backpack. that was Trayvon’s M.O.

My daughter and son in law pulled into their driveway and they could tell someone used one of those tools you mentioned, to try to pry open the window.

Here’s a video of a bicyclist in Toledo who has a Go Pro camera mounted on his bike, who captures an attempted assault by some young feral yutes.

If you don’t want to watch the video, there’s a fair amount of text detail if you hit the “Show more” under about.

What behavior is that? Up to the point of contact, Marin's "behavior" was no different from millions of other teenagers walking home.

I was referring to his history of having jewelry, burglary tool, etc. in his possession at school. Most young men would have been arrested but due to the pathetic "rules"at his high school - it was handled "in house" and he was suspended.

When you were this formerly normal teenager - did you ever jump on an adult, break his nose, and try to open his head on the concrete sidewalk? .....just checking......

So glad this story is growing legs!

A thieving, aggressive punk killed while assaulting someone being used as an excuse for low info voters to 'protest' is bad enough, but the fact he had already been caught with evidence from crimes and NOT been prosecuted just so the school district could make their numbers look good is MORE than just criminal, IMHO.

To intervene when a young black kid is turning into a criminal would be “racist” and invalidating his culture.
