I will be looking into this. I just ordered a Himalayan salt inhaler for our daughter. She has had two extremely bad asthma episodes, both with hospital stays, with no other asthmatic symptoms at all. It’s very strange and very frightening.

Yes, that is all quite true.

My grandpa was a farmer. Ate red me almost everyday. Along with eggs, bacon, butter, sugar, cream, salt and who knows what else deemed bad for you.

He lived to 2 months short of his 93rd birthday.

Worked his farm up until 4 months before he died.

I made a comment to him once, that it must be great to have lived so long. His response was , that everyone he knew growing up through the years was gone. I had never realized until then, that every time there was a gathering and that he was with other "old" people, those "old" people were 20-30 years younger than him.

I think if he would have heard that every time you ate something it would take years off your life, he would have sat right down and started eating, asking for a double portion.

Many experts argue that salt could be just what we need for healing, health and longevity. Modern salt, they agree, is unhealthy. But common table salt has almost nothing in common with traditional salt, say the salt connoisseurs

That is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time! Thanks for the laugh!

Very frightening indeed! Has your daughter been checked for gluten tolerance (intolerance)? I had an asthma attack (only one ever, and I was eating a bagel at the time). Afterwards I found out I can't have gluten (or dairy).

I'll be praying for your daughter. ♥

It's not supposed to be funny.

They are great. We're in the market for a new one because we use ours a lot (it's now less than an inch in thickness). We have no couch, comfy chairs, or stuff like that, BUT we do have a rockin' salt slab... -lol-

Priorities, I guess... :)
