I Love Sarah Palin, But... (Link Works!)

Sara Palin is a gifted politician. Her love of country is as clear as a winter's day.

She could be a good president, maybe even a great one, depending on circumstances. She has all the attributes of a leader: she's personally charming, down-to-earth, she's attractive, but her writing drives me crazy!

Every sentence she composes or utters in real-time is a convoluted mess of subordinate clauses. Every idea introduced gives way to a meandering aside, a parenthetical more

If America would only follow the common sense reasoning in my post 118... then authors like this would be on obama relief AKA (American communist subsistence)! nazi pelosi and dirty harry reid passed laws to support these so called artisans and writers. Spit on the david shrum’s of the world... ridicule and laugh at the effeminate writers like georgie porgie will... wipe their dust from your feet... know them by the fruits.

Sorry, but I think you are reaching. We will have to agree to disagree.

We can disagree, but I'll hold firm that the article basically chides her for her speech and writing, it's introduced by half a sentence of how he likes her and that's the classic example of damning with faint praise.

I don't think that's any kind of a reach, particularly with what I pointed out, e.g., his praise for the following post: "I prefer the term “word salad”, and I find it unbearable. Listening to her speak make me wonder if she is actually responsible for some of the writing attributed to her."

Game. Set. Match. That's what most will call it. Since we don't have clear tennis rules, we'll just disagree.

The player doesn’t call the game. Also, you must play by the rules or be disqualified.

And now from tennis to the law, when you argue a case, you’d better not be caught distorting the facts. “Half a sentence”? You lied.

I would say, “you lose,” but, for me, it is not about that. It’s about “fairness”.

Well, most matches played in the world are actually self called by the players. If you've not played, you wouldn't know that.

Sara Palin is a gifted politician. Her love of country is as clear as a winter's day.

This is the only fully complementary sentence before he begins his turn to the negative. It should be one, not really two, although it works in most rules, one would have been better. He just wanted to punctuate his damning with faint praise.

He has a transition sentence where he says the obligatory nice things, but then kaboom, he slides into how bad she is. Sorry. Game. Set. Match.

:-)

I stand corrected. In some leagues, especially junior leagues, players make their own calls, trusting each other to be HONEST. You have not been. But, that’s beside the point; and this time I will say it: you lose.

Here is FreedomFighter1013’s opener:

“Sara Palin is a gifted politician. Her love of country is as clear as a winter’s day.

“She could be a good president, maybe even a great one, depending on circumstances. She has all the attributes of a leader: she’s personally charming, down-to-earth, she’s attractive, but her writing drives me crazy!”

So, within FOUR sentences; not “half a sentence”, he said she is “gifted”. He calls out her love of country, “clear as a winter’s day.” I like that. He thinks “she could be a good president, maybe even a great one.” “Personally charming”, down-to-earth”, “attractive”, “has all the attributes of a leader”. Elsewhere on this thread, he states that he believes “Sarah represents everything that is good about America”, but you get your pants in a wad because her writing drives the author “crazy”. LOL!

We had a fair game going, until you assumed an illegal position while serving the ball. In other words, in an attempt to gain an advantage, you were dishonest. You said he gave her a “half a sentence” of praise. I don’t play with people who try to win by cheating.

Your game is over, and everyone, those who comment and those who don’t, saw you “play” it.

Goodbye, FRiend. Have fun in the junior leagues.

Oh, I see, I'm not honest with my opinion....and, of course, you are. What gibberish.

I gave you his opener, which could have and should have been one sentence. It was clearly his last full complement as I said. His next salvo is where he turns negative just like I pointed out. The rest of his piece makes HIM a junior leaguer, and his fans, which you keep trying to be. You've pretended, like the author, to be on her side.

Breitbart was correct, those who pretend to be on the right and take part in the savaging of her are animals with no souls......the author had no intent of offering a constructive criticism, never did.

There was no intent to do anything but damn her with faint praise, then show how bad she is; it's obvious and you should know better, but you clearly can't.

Loser.

You started the insults now you can wear one.......

Wow. You got caught out, and your terrible reaction proves it.

I didn’t call you a “loser”, or an “animal with no soul” . Even though you were dishonest with me, I called you “FRiend”.

Actually, I only called you a loser, and that because you thought it was some kind of argument ending coup de grace to call me a junior leaguer. I did say that Breitbart was right, that the author fell in that category he so aptly described. If you want to think you're the same as the author, I won't stop you.

Oh, and this idea that I was "dishonest" with you is simply full of it. You're just whining because you couldn't convince me the author actually liked Sarah Palin. I don't know how you get the idea he does. He just damned her with faint praise in the beginning, sort of helped him stick the knife in, eh? Then he turned animal on her. And for what? Why does he do that? Is that important? Hell no, it's just his slip showing he's just like Breitbart described......

It's YOU who has been exposed and the more you post ...cements it! And Breitbart is right - and you and FF have proved it.

I called you “FRiend”.

Save the BS!

You are always sorry about something but keep doing it. You can’t be what you ain’t, so stop trying - YOU FAIL and have been exposed.

What are you raving about now? Your words don’t even make sense. And what do you mean, I’m “always sorry”? Your rantings are all over the place.

I welcome discussions with worthy opponents, but your argument has devolved into babbling, repetitious phrases and mindless accusations. Instead of debating me, you finger-point and react with the immaturity of a child who wets his pants because he doesn’t have his way.

As was said earlier, your words are misleading, if not devoid of reality, and I agree. I also believe you are a hypocrite. Shall I demonstrate with examples of what I mean by that? Like I said, you are all over the place.

You would do well to practice what you so often preach.

Stop being so angry that you sin - something you obviously don’t know along with ‘gossiping’ about Sarah.

Don’t talk about Christianity with such ‘little knowledge’ of it. Repent!

It is sad and amusing that you believe you know people so well and with such insight. What sin is that, my friend? Only God knows this girl, and I am on His side. He directs my paths, and only Him do I obey; not you.
