Container Ship Carrying U.S. Arms to FSA Rebels in Syria “Splits an’ Sinks”
http://shariaunveiled.wordpress.com ^ | June 21,2013 | Sharia Unveiled

Posted on 06/23/2013 3:22:46 PM PDT by Lazamataz

‘A large fleet container ship named the “Mol Comfort” was carrying weapons from the U.S. to the FSA Rebels in Syria when it suddenly split in half in the Indian Ocean and sank, as it was making its way from Singapore to Jeddah. On board were 4,500 containers loaded with U.S. arms for the Syrian rebels.’

The cause for this sudden accident is still being reported publicly as “unknown.”

As more news becomes available from Syria, it will be reported here.

Whatever happened to that “avoid foreign entanglements” advice?

The video said it was one of the 3 longest ships in the world.

This has been debunked on a number of shipping/naval forums. Here's the crux:

It wasn't heading to the Middle East. It was heading TO Singapore, FROM the Middle East (reference here

The ship didn't sink. It split in half from the keel up, but both pieces retained water-tight integrity and salvage operations are underway.

The ship was apparently built with a new type of high-strength steel. Speculation is that the steel was especially rigid for an aircraft-carrier sized vessel with a relatively high center of gravity but still built to commercial and not military standards (especially when it comes to compartmentalization). The ship hit heavy weather and wasn't able to flex properly given the waves it was encountering, so the hull failed (thankfully along a bulkhead)

Must have been some loose lips out there. Seriously though I still think it was the center fuel tank.

Next shipment, let’s include the 1.6 billion rounds of hollow point ammo the Feds bought. It was for the WOT, so I’m sure it was to be used against Muslims.

I hope it was some of our guys, getting more and more disgusted with every crate they loaded into every container. “Hey Bob, if I set this timer for 72 hours, where do you think that will put it?”

I don’t think weapons were being transported this way. This would not be the way the US would send weapons anywhere.

My first thought, too. What evidence is there that it was carrying arms. how did it get there so soon, what was it doing in the Indian Ocean. Some ship broke up and sank, at some time, that’s all we know for sure.

And that is one of the theories to explain why the Edmund Fitzgerald sank on Lake Superior in 1975-fully loaded with
iron ore.
