SARAH PALIN: ‘SNOWDEN IS NOT THE PROBLEM’
TPNN - TEA PARTY NEWS NETWORK ^ | June 22, 2013 | Matthew Burke

Posted on 06/22/2013 11:35:44 AM PDT by SaveOurRepublicFromTyranny

In regards to the NSA violations and whistleblower, Edward Snowden, Palin took the opposite opinion of many on the right and left, including former Republican Vice-President, Dick Cheney, who referred to Snowden as a “traitor.” Below is an excerpt from Bolling’s interview with Palin, followed by the video in its entirety...

>> she is done politically

No she’s not. Palin has incredible influence despite not being seated.

I regret you didn’t comment on the more relevant point that Congress is responsible. I’m not dismissing the individual responsibility you referred to, but that is something we cannot practically control. Our “representatives” on the other hand, are determined by our vote and influenced by our outrage providing they’re the direct recipients of the pressure.

The NSA component of the scandal is diversionary. No one in Congress is taking any responsibility whatsoever nor showing any distress over the allegations of privacy violations. That’s telling. At least it is to me.

That’s a good point, now that we know, we are responsible to hold our Representatives accountable.

much pop crap she's exposed herself to and her family to.
Celebrity Wife Swap really? Dancing With Stars?
Whenever I see her name in the news now, I ignore it.

Boy am I glad that most conservatives aren't as stupid and ill-informed as you are.

Furthermore, you smell like a Troll.

Please Back down SoCon before this thread ends up looking like threads did last time around with Sarah. Even I stopped looking at them because anybody who had a different opinion or raised any reasonable questions was slammed big time.

I like Sarah but I can understand why some might not, or question some of her statements...there’s nothing wrong with discussing them. Sarah certainly would!

Not going to happen.

Something definitely wrong with someone posting crap like that about Sarah, especially after she has been practically the only one fighting and saying what needs to be said.

Something doesn't smell right about this poster.

You're not alone...others seem to think this way as well...but they still enjoy hearing what she has to say I think.

I don't see her running again...she's enjoying what she's doing now without having handlers attempting to control her.

Even on Fox she didn't look especially comfortable...she does best when she has the stage to herself....she knows what she wants to say and doesn't have to be bothered with scripts and “taking turns” with studio pundits.

I also think she does best with crowds....face to face if you will...she loves to hear the exchange with them and has a real feel for where they are at and can adjust accordingly...she's "free" to say exactly what she wants.

On tv shows it's very different...she has a camera in her face...time frames ..and generally a framed topic the network wants to stay with. This confines a woman as the independent thinker and speaker that she is.

<...”Something doesn’t smell right about this poster”...>

Well there isn’t much at all of a posting history so perhaps they’re testing the waters....

I just hate to see the threads get “thick” like they were before...my gosh nobody could even question anything about Sarah ..and she never runs from those nor is afraid of being questioned... but her followers...that in itself is questionable...we’ll see in time.

I like her alot..I don’t ‘Love’ any politician.

Well, I do love her because she is fearless.

That does not mean that I, or most of the rest of her supporters here on FreeRepublic agree with everything she says and does.

Probably an assumption that should be avoided.

She got it right.

As Snowden said in his initial interview at that luxurious Hong Kong hotel, our taxpayer dollars have funded a turnkey tyranny system:

The greatest fear that I have regarding the outcome for America of these disclosures is that nothing will change. People will see in the media all of these disclosures. They'll know the lengths that government is going to to grant themselves powers, unilaterally, to create greater control over American society and global society. But they won't be willing to take the risks necessary to stand up and fight to change things, to force their representatives to actually take a stand in their interests. And in the months ahead, the years ahead, it's only going to get worse. Until, eventually there will be a time where policies will change because the only thing that restricts the activities of the surveillance state are policy. Even our agreements with other sovereign governments, we consider that to be a stipulation of policy rather than a stipulation of law. And, because of that, a new leader will be elected. They'll flip the switch. And they'll say that, because of the crisis, because of the dangers that we face in the world, some new and unpredicted threat, we need more authority, we need more power, and there will be nothing the people can do at that point to oppose it. And it will be turnkey tyranny.
Now, given what we know about the IRS's priorities in the 2010 and 2012 cycles, what do you suppose might happen if Zero (or, God forbid, another 'Rat successor) figures out how to turn the key Snowden exposed?

Blaming the NSA is no different than blaming the gun.

Perhaps - but it is another bureaucratic entity that has gotten so big and convoluted that it is part of the problem. Too big for proper oversight and everything is SECRET which means that even questioning them can be problematic.

Bureaucratic entities are not written into the constitution, but the provisions to fund them by Congress are.

Our “representatives” have the means to make these problems go away, but they refuse to act.

Good Advice!

Having a contrary opinion on this topic is a no-no.

Just frustrated that Palin chooses to participate willingly in these “entertainment” shows produced by the very people who demean her and openly insult her family.

Maybe that's how the media game is played to get exposure. I just happen to think it undermines her credibility.

With your type, her existence undermines her credibility. Thou doth protest too much, methinks.

My type? Your psychic? .........whatever.

Her “existence”, as you put it, is was what I think we all had been looking and hoping for. She had it all and blew it by selling out.

Yes me “doth” protest. I would never sacrifice the honor of my family like she has done. She looses all credibility for me.

Blaming the NSA is no different than blaming the gun."

We are getting a little look at what that "gun" can do. In the hands of the wrong people, the "gun" can help one violate the Constitution and do major damage to individuals.

In these times, we can have a Paula Deen held accountable by a statement she made 20 years ago. Yet, we have Zer0 who has not been held accountable for the murder of four Americans at Benghazi. It tells you there is no certainty for accountability. Even with assurance of oversight, do we trust this "gun" in the hands of a government who has voided that assurance with a history of lies and infringement of our constitutional rights. The administration headed by Zer0 has not given us any assurance that it has the integrity to follow the rule of law.

Here is what I think that "gun" can do:

Let's say that all phone conversations are digitally stored until voice recognition software can put them into text. The storage of text takes little storage space and allows for huge amounts of text to be stored. They say that storage space is growing exponentially. With the phone tree architecture that Snowden described, you can organize the text according to rings of influence. You then have quite a powerful system.

Lets say you have a political campaign and want to ID those who would be your grass roots. With software, you can worm through a few years worth of text and find those friendly to your campaign. It would be as easy as doing a Google search. Then, because you have access to all the phone numbers, you could robocall your grassroots for support. Phones would get texts saying dial this number and donate. You see the power such a "gun" would have in the hands of an unethical person like Zer0 in power?

Let's say you want to take out a political opponent by finding something embarrassing about them. That would be easy. You have the text of all their phone conversations. God help them if they dialed for a sex escort or asked where they could score some crack. You see the power such a "gun" would have to take out the opposition?

In the hands of the thugs we see working in the Zer0 Syndicate, the "gun" could take out political enemies as easy as it did Paula Deen. And, there would be zero political accountability for doing it.

Don't worry. Most Freepers already have you figured, newb. So far, honor does not seem to be one of your stronger aptitudes.
