DHS Criticized for ‘Increasing Sense of Bunker Mentality’ in Communicating with Americans

A House panel grilled DHS officials about its communication skills with the American people, especially the agency’s failure to address questions and concerns on a host of issues from agency tactics to terror threats.

Since the tragic events of Sept. 11, the federal government has mounted an unprecedented domestic effort to protect the nation from terrorist threats. As part of this effort, the federal government combined more than 20 agencies into a newly created cabinet-level department—the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In its 12-year history, the DHS has been the focus of criticism several times for its poor communications with other government agencies and the public. The House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Oversight and Management Efficiency held a hearing Friday to explore challenges of the DHS in communicating with the American people. …

Why do we have DHS? It hasn’t done the job it was intended to do and it has invaded areas it shouldn’t have. I don’t think we need it.

I’m also wondering about the FBI now. They only ever seem to catch astro-turf terrorists, child molestors that they’ve lured with their own child porno and giant x-ray guns (hahahah!). Almost always bait and trap, not hunting the criminal in their natural habitat.

Even the Secret Service seems to land themselves in mess after mess lately.

And classifying the Tea Party, Second Amendment supporters, constitutional Republic supporters, Christians, Veterans, etc. the REAL domestic terrorists. Hand raping and harassing Americans, including children, as they pass through the airports. Setting up check points and demanding Americans show their papers proving they are Americans? Setting up martial law in Boston with agents raiding people’s homes and making residents come out with their hands up while the commie wannabes point assault rifles at them?

Oh, yeah. America is soooo safe now! The only ones who are safe are mentally ill agents who violate the rights of Americas as they go about spying on and harassing them for politically incorrect activity. Islamists are safe in the government’s war on “terror” because it is raaaacis to spy on and harass them. DHS’s jacked up agents have to go after somebody, so they go after Dear Reader’s political and social enemies...law abiding Americans.

Finally, they have totally corrupted community police training so that many officer act as foreign war occupiers rather than Americans.
