Yes, depending on the settings they can. Most computers have a feature called “Wake On LAN” which can be used to power them up remotely through a network connection. I think the setting is usually disabled by default, but if you have been hacked, they can just turn it on themselves.

The Architect or the Oracle? Merovingian?
She should have sought some free technical advice on FR before broaching the topic on national television.
CBS brought in an independent computer forensics company, and they confirmed that the computer had been compromised on a number of occasions, and used sophisticated methods trying to covering their tracks.

It’s not that hard if you have access to it or get them to download a Trojan in their email that installs silently waiting for a ping from the hacker to activate the program. A standard Windows firewall won’t stop them. I used to use a program called SubSeven way back in the day. You old see everything on their screen, log every keystroke (steal their passwords), look at and/or copy their hard drive contents, even shut it down or open the CD/DVD door if you wanted to...: )
You can get similar type programs to use on your own computers to protect your children but you have to install it on their hard drive manually.

My apologies. I hadnt listened to the video footage when I made my comment. After listening to her she seems credible. The type of news articles she was working on and her research findings would def be of concern to hiis highness.
She had several computer experts confirm someone hacked the
computer and tried to cover the fact they hacked into it. The CBS
hired experts that were able to trace the hacker!!! They KNOW who
it was, attorneys are involved but the story will break soon!!!
Her body language during this interview definitely implied it was
some government agency this is the story that is going to be HUGE!!!
I just hope CBS doesn’t squash this story!!!
At the very least, she'll be a conservative for life.
