Sarah Palin energized a group of social conservatives at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority Conference Saturday, blasting the Obama Administration’s apparent lawlessness, calling the current state of America “Orwellian,” and urging the United States to stay out of Syria’s chaotic and brutal civil war.
In comments to the Daily Caller, the 2008 candidate for vice president also declined to join many of her fellow Republicans in condemning National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, saying the real problem was the government’s violation of Americans’ rights.
In her speech, Palin called the current political atmosphere, rife with scandals, a “a symptom of a bigger disease,” expressing outrage over the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative nonprofits.
“You don’t marginalize everyday, average Americans. Those, who are part of the Tea Party, that want to protect the constitution,” said the former Alaska Governor. “The IRS can’t figure out how it spent $4 million dollars on a training conference because it lost its receipts… really?”
The 2008 GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said President Obama has lost the trust of the American people.
“Like the other day,” she said ”[Director of National Security Intelligence James Clapper] bragging that they used the ‘least untruthful statement.’ Now, where I come from that is called a lie. Yes, the officials lied and government spied — and in Benghazi government lied and Americans died.”(continued)

The thing is that Romney is our future unless people wake up fast. We will get another Romney and another because of people like we see on this thread who refuse to accept reality and are intent to repeat history. Romney is just a name to attach to the overall problem of the GOP.
Not for a minute...There are those who say Sarah is not qualified to be President...I'd say Sarah is as qualified to be President as anyone who has been there in my lifetime...
Seems to me the country's been better governed when the President was an alumnus of, say, Eureka College than when they were alumni of Harvard University.

Well the GOPe is by and large doing a piss poor job obstructing Obama now. Fortunately a few good ones are emerging..Cruz, Gowdy for two.
I could not be more anti-abortion...abortion is another name for murder. But not sure even Palin could end it using political power. It will take education that abortion is not merely “women’s health” but instead the brutal murder of an innocent.
I believed Romney would have put obamacare to death and would have freed up businesses to go about succeeding. That would have been two less huge problems than we have now.
I like Cruz and there are some others. Would love to vote for Sarah but don’t think I’ll get the chance.
I want to pass a better world on to my kids and will do whatever that takes. Meanwhile you can sit back and crow about how you voted for your “priciples” and continued to lose time after time.
I think you hit on something that seems to be the root of the problem.
first, there are a lot of people in this world who blame the white, Christian male for most of the atrocities of history...the crusades, the inquisition, slavery, the holocaust.
so, these people are also saying, I want to leave a better world for my kids.
how to do it?
start with the schools. make up a disease, call it adhd, put the white Christian boys on it and see how dumbed down they become.
have employment discriminate against white Christian boys by “affirming employment by every group but them.
etc etc,
create orginizations like the aclu, that are defacto non Christian, and have them file lawsuits at the slightest Christian value.
have Hollywood make antichristian movies with especially vulgar actors (adam sandler, adam sandberg, seth rogen, seth green, ben stiller, etc etc etc)
and now the irs too.

Did a few of you get talking points assembled on the narcissist thing? Because never in my life have I been called that EVER. Yet within 2 weeks on FR I get hit with it several times.
One might think my comments upset someone. Yet they duck and dodge, rather than ADDRESS THE ISSUE with namecalling and avoidance.

I don’t see ANYONE new.
I see rats scrambling because the light just got turned on. Oh, am I for it or against it ? What do my backers want me to say ? What’s my consultant tell me to say. Oh, no, the party bosses want me to smile and say the $80 billion spy machine is great.
It tells me they are all fit for the trash, they’re only their doing the bidding of their big backers. And those big backers are FINE with a police state cuz they’re rich or powerful.
I want to see OUTSIDERS, ordinary people. 1 TERM and done. While they’re in office, I want to see EVERY SINGLE PHONE CALL, EMAIL, TEXT MESSAGE, CARRIER PIGEON MESSAGE THEY WRITE. Every conversation. I’d like to see them hand their phone over when they close their bedroom door at night, then get it back in the morning. I’d like logs of everyone they see, everywhere they go.
NO LOBBYISTS. NO INFLUENCES THAT ARE NOT OUT IN THE OPEN.
Same for his staff.
Got an idea, send it to your Congressman, then it should be PUBLISHED. Every stinkin one. No phone calls, no private dinners.
Then, let Johnny Congressmen have PUBLIC meetings - only public - where the ideas are discussed and the meeting is recorded for the public record.
Otherwise, no sense at all bothering. Let’s just let the boards of directors of all the foundations and fortune 500 and mega-banks - just create whatever laws they want, and all us little subjects can just shut it and like it, I guess.
Now, I know it’s waaaaaaayyyy to much to ask for Congress to not get the behind-closed-doors treatment from outside powerful influences.
But like I say, the Republican non-opposition party is making dead sure that NOBODY gets ANYWHERE near being on a ballot until they get indoctrinated and are a functioning YesMan(tm); the same, same, same, people, that’s all there is. And they all look ABSOLUTELY pathetically guilty and ashamed because they know they are rubberstamping the police state.
