We were recently informed that the state police and state attorneys will no longer be confirming if a particular firearm configuration is legal under Connecticut's new gun control law.
Essentially manufacturers can read the law, have our lawyers read the law, manufacture a configuration we believe is legal, and only after we start selling them will the state police and state attorneys review the product. We have no way to determine what they will do if it ends up not being legal under their interpretation of the law, if there will just be a recall or if people will be going to jail for having an "assault weapon".

You make it to be legal according to current law. If we don’t like it we’ll change the law and make it illegal.

Connecticut used to be the biggest firearm producer in the country. Now they’ve driven most of that business—and, over the years, most other manufacturing businesses as well—out of the state.
Not sure who they think is going to pay for all their welfare recipients in the slum towns.
I have heard rumors that Stag and Colt are meeting with Governors of other states soon. Also, in the most recent 25 most dangerous cities, CT has three.
Which manufacturer is stating this?
We lived in Fairfield County for a number of years, before the taxes got even worse than they were in Westchester.
Fairfield County is a checkerboard of wealthy commuters and segregated slum dwellers. You don’t want to walk around at night in some of what used to be really nice cities—Stamford, Bridgeport, and Hartford, to name three.
Stamford got a wealth injection when many large firms moved their HQs out of NYC some years ago to escape the taxes, but it’s still mostly a place to avoid.

Not as long as the Makers are where they can still be taxed to keep the federal teat well funded.
