The best way for her to maintain “classy” would be to stay out of political discussions, since she was never elected to anything. So far she’s done quite a bit to damage her brand and shows no sign of letting up.

Well I guess you wouldn’t think Nancy Reagan was classy, either, would you? She was pro-choice too! She wasn’t nearly as conservative as Ron was! However,I still think she was very classy anyway; but definitely didn’t agree with her on a few points, and that was one of them!

Yeah, dog catcher once upon a time. But oddly, Politico and WaPo never call me and ask for my opinion, as they do with former first ladies who were never elected to anything.
Doesn’t stop you from commenting on political matters on FR, though . . . so the difference is that she has a better network?
A bigger megaphone, if you will. I’m just the loudmouth at the end of the bar, so my opinion is properly gauged by that standard. When a First Lady (past or present) issues an opinion, it has a lot more weight than mine, so it persuades far more people than a dog catcher. Does that make her opinion more correct than mine? You seem to think so.
I seem to be getting a lot of static for criticizing Bar Bush, who’s opinions are pretty divergent from the average FReeper.
So, how does the former First Lady’s opinion of the socks that the former President wears trouble you so?
It doesn’t. Never said it does. Some of the other stuff does bother me, and that’s what I was referring to. FRiend, don’t look for trouble from me, I seem to carry plenty without digging for it....
