Yeah, Shaw will find candidates and Dorgan will raise money for their Democrat opponents. I think Mr. Shaw just got rolled something fierce.

Williamson was a flake, and flip-flopped on abortion to try to pander for votes (from pro-life to pro-abort). That was the so-called “Year of the (moonbat Marxist Democrat) Woman.”

Remember when the news broke that Pat Brady had resigned, I said they must have made some backroom deal to name another Emanuel/Madigan puppet in the combine to replace him. Looks like I was right. I have no doubt the Dorgan selection was a done deal weeks ago and they just went through the motions of vetting other candidates.

A conservative, Richard Hamen, announced that he’ll run against Mark Shaw, in 2014. Richard was a Prospect Heights alderman, 2007-’11, and, in 2010, he ran for state rep., in the 57th District. He’s pro-life, anti-gay marriage, pro-gun rights, pro-death penalty, and anti-illegal alien.

I voted for Giannoulias because, as a confessed Democrat, he had some chance of defeating Nancyboy Kirk which was my priority. Also, Mike Labno, though undoubtedly a fine man and one who would vote well on the important issues (far more than the major party candidates), was just not going to win and beat Nancyboy.

In some races like the POTUS race of 2012 in which Romney was every bit as unacceptable as was Obozo, I voted American Party for Tom Hoefling (FR's own Eternal Vigilance). Tom Hoefling is one of us.

Kirk, Romney, Obozo: As Ms. Hillary might say: What difference DOES it make? Giannoulias also looked like the white, male equivalent of Carol Mostly Fraud and very likely to be run out of the Senate by his cornucopia of corruption in the family banking business. Giannoulias also appeared to be particularly stupid as a politician running for the Senate. I like that quality in a Demonrat since it gives us an easier path to victory next time.

Scenario: Corrupt incumbent Demonrat bimbo is renominated by the Demonrats. We beat him by nominating an actual conservative as the GOP candidate. This is a bit of a one-step process. With Nancyboy winning, we wind up with him/her/it running for re-election as an incumbent. In that case, we have to coalesce around one conservative candidate to challenge Nancyboy in a primary (probably unsuccessfully) and, even IF we win the primary, the Demonrats in GOP drag will be furious that we beat their Nancyboy and will be aroused to defeat our primary victor by voting Demonrat. Winning both primary and general election would be a real stretch.

When, in Connecticut, we defeated then Senator Lowell P. Weicker, Jr., we had an easier time in the general election because Joe Lieberman ran the very best race of his entire life, turning Weicker's reputation with most folks into a sad joke. TV ads of Weicker as a hibernating bear, actual film footage of the corpulent Weicker cavorting in scuba gear with Fidel Castro in Cuba, by which Weicker had hoped to convince Americans that communist dictators are people too(!!!), etc. Also Lieberman was quite worth electing in his own right as Democrats go. Bill Buckley agreed and formed a PAC called: Buckleys for Lieberman.

Here, in Illannoy, the situation is worse than Connecticut in 1988. Bill Buckley is no longer with us to scourge the likes of Nancyboy as he did Weicker. Illannoy seems to have little in the way of inherently conservative labor forces (I sooo hope that I am wrong on that). In 1988 Connecticut, we had plenty of rank and file union members and even some leaders. Postal Carriers, United Food and Commercial Workers, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Teamsters and others. By 1990, they had become the base of an anti-state income tax coalition which parked 60,000 plus folks on the State Capitol Lawn to protest Weicker's state income tax (designed to tax people who worked with their hands to relieve the taxes on Weicker and his wealthy pals and peers (Nancyboy thinkalikes). Illannoy has plenty of laws to protect the slime who run the state "GOP" for the Chicago Machine. AND, perhaps most importantly, any Illinois voter can pull a Republican ballot on primary day even those who organize Occupy Wall Street or Planned Barrenhood or NAMBLA or GLAAD or any gun-grabber organization, etc.

A dedicated and capable organizer for the right causes and the right issues (all of which are merely common sense) could spend half a lifetime with a talented small army of associates and STILL not level the playing field in the Illannoy "GOP" subsidiary of the increasingly leftist Chicago Demonratic Machine. However, if we are to continue living here, we have to try.

I would never question the common sense of voting for and thereby encouraging Mike Labno but I wanted to go the extra mile and really pile on against Nancyboy in the hope of nipping the little bastard in the bud.

Sorry to be tardy in responding. I was not spending a lot of time on the computer and I only today noticed your post.

Utterly absurd rationalization. Are you certain you’re not a liberal troll? Don’t respond. I really don’t care to know. Anyone foolish enough to take you seriously deserves what they get.

I don't give a sh*t whether you want to hear or not any more than I give a sh*t for your next ass-kissing suck up allegedly "Republican" Machine supported creature who lacks a shred of principle identifiable as "Republican." Too bad for those who care only about the fate of Muffy's trust fund that a lot of Republicans (the actual kind) will NEVER vote for such trash for any office again.

Don't like it??? Tooooo Bad!

You want a united Republican effort??? Earn it by nominating ONLY socially conservative, gun-rights supporting, pro-life, pro-family, pro-military, foreign policy hardline, anti-corruption candidates instead of unacceptable trash like Nancyboy Kirk, Judy Baah Baah Tooopinka, the appropriately named Robert Dolt and their ilk.
