Today seems to be a day where Jay Sekulow is hitting the news. And his story is getting air at NBC, where Lisa Meyers says "two IRS employees in the Cincinnati office made statements to NBC News that call into question parts of the official explanation Americans have heard from the IRS so far." Progress comes sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly. NBC is still running off the template that conflict sells news.
Be that as it is, the interesting part here is that this story has found a way back into the main stream news cycle, seemingly without an impetus from high level political luminaries. The hook to the Sekulow story is that interest in certain tax exempt applications went far up the chain of command. There is conflict to come, I tell you! That interests me not, because I have speculated here at RFNJ that the IRS collected information that it provided to the Obama campaign, which we all now know ran a very powerful ground game on Facebook.
I took note of a story a few days ago that actually posted an information request made by the IRS to the Ohio Liberty Council on March 16, 2012. I found this particularly interesting, because the Ohio Liberty Council is in the penultimate battleground state of Ohio. I also noted the time of the request coincides with the time when the the Presidental ground game needs to ramp up.
I spend a lot of time formulating questions and crafting answers. I always examine the questions the other side asks. I look at how much effort went into drafting the questions. The questions also give me a window into what the other side really wants. The early questions in a series are always form questions. Then, like here, the other side telegraphs their thoughts:
1. Please have a member of your board sign page 1 of Form 1024.
2. Please provide a hardcopy printout of your organization's website.
3. Does your organization promote or publicize itself using any internet social media such as Facebook? If so, please list the social media outlets and provide hardcopy printouts of those outlets.
I posted here a little exercise where a college professor and three graduate students made a map that shows point of origin of tweets that contain "hate speech." This platform, I suggested, can be used to map the propagation of an idea. You can see if a combination of words resonates by examining how the words move over electronic media. So what information would be most helpful for this type of tool? How about the very carefully drafted question 6 posed by the IRS to the Ohio Liberty Council:
6. Provide the following information for all the public events conducted or planned to be conducted by your organization:
a. The time, location, and content schedule of each event
b. Identify and provide copies of handouts to the audience
c. Identify workshop materials that instructors will use
d. The names and credentials of the instructors
e. If speeches or forums were or will be conducted at the event, provide detailed contents of the speeches or forums, names of the speakers or panels, and their credentials. If any speakers or panel members will be paid, provide the amount will be paid for each person. If not, please indicate they volunteered to conduct the event.
f. The names of persons from your organization and the amount of time they will spend on the event. Indicate the name and amount of time they will spend on the event. Indicate the name and amount of compensation that will be paid to each person. If no one will be paid, indicate this event will be conducted by volunteers to each person.
g. Indicate the percentage of time and resources you will spend on these activities in relation to 100% of all your activities.
The primary interest the President had for the IRS in the months leading up to the election was information that it could use to get reelected. If I am right, the Obama campaign may have conspired with the IRS to receive stolen information. If so, the campaign is a racketeering organization, which calls into question the legitimacy of the election. I am guessing Lisa Myers will not think about that, but Jay Sekulow might. In a civil RICO case, the prevailing party gets attorney's fees. That cat has legs.
what the heck is that photo? a 2 legged cat????
This is disgusting, MASSIVE FRAUD. Using a MASSIVE GOVERNMENT ENTITY!!!!!!!
THE IRS IS IN BED WITH OBAMA. JUST FROM THIS KNOWLEDGE ALONE WE KNOW FOR FACT THAT ALL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN INFILTRATED BY THE CURRENT ADMIN AND ARE SYMPATHETIC TOWARDS THEM.
SCREW IMPEACHMENT, TRY, CONVICT AND HANG HANG HANG!
Somebody found this on Google Earth. I use it fort this story because we are not getting the full picture on this IRS story.

Shulman went to the White House 118 times. His predecessor went there once in five years--he wouldn't even go to the White House Christmas party because he wanted to avoid the appearance of impropriety. Shulman is a Democrat, appointed when the Democrats controlled Congress so Bush had to pick someone acceptable to them.
Once the media realizes how serious the corruption is, they will have to figure out a way to ignore it or get the people to lose interest--it's too damning to Obama. Keep it off the front page, have nothing but the briefest updates on the nightly news, act like it's all just politics as usual and the Republicans are trying to make a mountain out of a mothball--because Obama is black.
I have come to that realization as well.
We have been transformed into Venezuela.
The IRS was used to make sure Obama won the election and is being still used to silence his opponents.
Forget the media turning on him also. The off the record meeting coming up will be holder threatening the media to stay loyal. That is why they wire tapped the AP.
And they can be threatened by the IRS as well.
Meanwhile, our “representatives” collect a paycheck and do nothing to represent us.
Calm down this is aMeriKa you can’t do that to anybody unless they are doing it to a Tea-Party member.
