These officers should be charged with breaking and entering, assault and battery, and civil rights violations. Not only should they loose their jobs, they should go to jail.

Don't hold your breath. There are two really great advantages of government jobs:

1. You spend other peoples' hard earned money
2. you almost never face any consequences for any actions you perform. Stuff that would land you in jail as a citizens gets you a promotion in govt work

#2 needs to change.

Anyone acting with the authority of the State needs to be held individually, monetarily accountable for hardship they cause to any citizen.

They need to be required to carry malfeasance insurance, with the premiums based on risk. Any bad actor will eventually be priced out of government employment.
