“get the guy with the camera first.”

Yep, why/how did this video survive????

The ‘cops’ were told they were being videoed, many times.

Yeah, and that was BEFORE they were killing people’s dogs, running around playing army, or in this case busting in and tasing people for asking to see a warrant. The same folks who you object to being called that will come for your guns someday...

What are the names of the policemen?

Who is their supervisor?

Who is the mayor of the city?

Citizens should hold them all accountable. Citizen review board set up, name and shame the officers. Petition to remove them from the police force.

The officers should be shunned by the community in addition to the supervisor who ordered them to the property without a warrant. They don’t deserve to be treated as equals to free citizens anymore.

I don’t know anything about this man except one thing.
HE IS WRONG.

He stated he did not live in a Police State.

I guess the police corrected him on that one.

He DOES live in a Police State. We all do.

Just a few points on your comment. 1. Under certain circumstances a warrant IS NOT necessary before enter another’s home when permission is not given, i.e. fresh pursuit, crime in-progress, known felony suspect within, prevent the destruction of evidence and there's a few others. In this case, it's unknown what the officers were there for in the first place, what they knew or what they THOUGHT they knew. So, as always, the “devil's in the details.” Hope the IA investigation will bring the details to light.

Now on to a point no one else has made (I think). Officers must make life and death decisions on a daily basis. Case in point. In Ohio the officers are being criticized for NOT forcibly going into Castro's house on a “welfare check” which would have discovered those long-held women.

Are the officers always completely right in these situations? No, of course not. But, the courts have consistently ruled that if their motives are pure (reasonable concern for the welfare of those inside) then they are acting in a constitutional manner.

So, let's not be too quick to demonize these officers without knowing all the facts. Just saying.

Horshite story. Can't find the name of the city or police force EVEN MENTIONED on Joe Miller web page. This is unacceptable especially for someone touting constitutional liberties.

When the COMPLETE story appears with particulars, then it might be worth reading, reacting and commenting on.

If they had thought to kill the people in the house they would all have been rewarded with 2 weeks paid vacation.

The camera guy seems to be directing the action:

You are going to come in?
Without a warrant?
You are going to break down my door?

Then they do each thing.

Pretty quick on the taser trigger, too.

Throw the cops in prison.

this has happened exactly twice in the last ten years that I know of in spite of many fmore abuses of power. Once was the murder of 92 yo Kathryn Johnson in Atlanta by members of the police going to a wrong house, and then they tried to make it look like she shot at them. BTW they let her bleed out. Dead witnesses tell no contradictory tales. Theose convicted were convicted NOT of murder, but violation of oath of office which carres a much lighter sentence.

The other was the infamous post Katrina Danziger bridge incident where the cops were initially charged with murder, but a local judge dismissed the charges on a technicality. They were then re-charges with things like obstruction of justice and a few other minor felonies so that although they gunned down a guy for fun - shot him in the back - they wouldn't suffer too much for their misdeeds.

There is nothing in the article that even says what city it was, or when, or even what news source it came from.

. . . the man responds that he doesn’t live in a police state with martial law.

Serious thoughts: don't lie to a cop - it makes them angry. I suspect the false statement I quoted is what set the cop off.

I'd say 'LOL', but it's close enough to the truth to be sad instead.

GUN GRAB IS IN FULL SWING IN NY

DUTCHESS MAN ARRESTED FOR HAVING 9 BULLETS (CARTRIDGES) IN THE MAGAZINE OF HIS LEGALLY REGISTERED PISTOL

Posted by Greg Ball on Monday, May 13th, 2013

Brewster, N.Y. (5/13/2013)

- Senator Greg Ball (R,C,I-Patterson) Chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee issued the following statement in regards to the recent reports of a Dutchess County man being arrested for violating the “NY SAFE Act”:

Gregory D Dean Jr., 31, of Hopewell Junction, was pulled over on Sunday evening in New Lebanon NY because the vehicle*s license-plate lamp was not working.

Troopers found Dean with a legally registered pistol with a magazine that contained nine bullets, two more than the recently passed “SAFE Act” allows.

Police charged Dean with unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other vehicle infractions.

“This is a very sad day for all fair minded New Yorkers who believe in justice and value freedom. Here we see the full effect of our actions as the SAFE Act turns a law abiding citizen into a criminal. This did not save a life, this just destroyed one man*s life”, said Senator Greg Ball.

“I continue to plead with this Governor to please allow the common sense changes to this bill, that are obviously necessary.”

FYI:

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has owned and carried a GLOCK 9mm pistol with a magazine capacity of many more than seven cartridges in both NY state and in (illegally under certain unconstitutional District of Columbia statutes) Washington DC even since well before he became the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Clinton administration in the 1990s.

“Oh - You are a not an American citizen?

I*m sorry Sir - You may go.

Have a nice day!”

My comment reflects my opinion about how to handle that type of abuse of power in the police department.

Citizens need to remember they have a duty to the community too!
