Agreed.
An attempt to impeach would probably succeed in the republican House.
But an impeachment conviction would fail in the Senate because no democrats would vote guilty.
Which is what happened during the Senate trial on the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1999.
And it would inflame democrats and set them upon a vendetta against republicans.
Which is what happened after the House impeachment of Bill Clinton.
A more realistic way to capitalize on Obama's treachery is to discredit him in the eyes of the public and render him even more ineffective as a president.
As you said, keep the scandals and his incompetence in the eyes of the voters.
We can hope that by 2014 and 2016 they will be sick and disgusted with Obama and democrats in general.
The downside of both options is that democrats are much better at this than republicans, and democrats will still have the media working hard for them.
Oddly enough Obama is doing a wonderful job of defining just how screwed up government is, this is the blue print for defeating the Democrats make him defend why they couldn’t send the best military in the world with multiple spec ops and fast reaction teams to help our Ambassador.... too dangerous? Then why do we even have the teams in the first place?.... Make him defend the IRS malfeasance in selective targeting their leaderships political opponents in the 2012 election cycle, “a fish rots from the head down”... Make them defend how they missed the Boston Islamic terrorist when they had multiple warnings, make them defend the Justice department tapping of the AP phones... and dig the case that this is the same government that Obama now has managing all of our healthcare.... Destroy the Socialists government fanatasy.....
