Kokesh is a nut. He was on the docket here in NM for CD 3 (lost in the primary) back in 2010. He lost big. Prior to this, he went to an American military base in Germany and encouraged troops to desert. He's a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War, and, if I recall correctly, stood with Code Pink in demonstrations against the war. He's bad news.

All gun rights organizations, starting with the NRA, should be posting warnings to their members to stay away from this “event-in-waiting”. Something will probably happen, most likely engineered, and new calls for “reasonable gun control” would be blazed across all the newspapers.

That will be headlined by the “NRA members run amok” charge.

The NRA, et al will be blamed anyway, but at least they can point to them distancing themselves from this attention whore. The flip side is they will say the NRA is afraid of its members. Seems like a win-win for them, which is probably why they aided and abetted behind the scenes.
