I have all the respect and love in the world for Sarah, but the country is too far gone for her to help it now.

Didn’t she relocate, making her state of residence Arizona?

Could she even win in Alaska at this point? Bailing on her job as governor and then asking the people for a new gig as Senator?

The Senate is too low. Go for President or don’t run.

This is a scam. It is an Establishment GOP parlor trick designed to try and funnel money away from SarahPAC.

Best,

Chris

Other Tea Party groups caution that it would be more prudent to measure the governor's interest in challenging Begich for his Senate seat before launching a major draft campaign.

This is a stupid comment. The purpose of a draft movement is to convince a person to run for office...even if the person is initially unwilling. If they've already decided to run there's no need to 'draft' them!

That’s a good question. You can be sure the GOP-E would position someone against her at the primary level. Based on the Murkowski/Miller fiasco, I’m not sure she’d even clear the primary, let alone win the general election.

Mind you, I’m not ripping on Palin; it’s just an opinion based on history and observable facts.

But previous draft attempts have failed to convince her to run, so why should this one (which is apparently run by the sort of Beltway types she despises) convince her?

Not officially. She owns property in both states and spends time in both. But there’s been no evidence that she has moved her voter registration to AZ or made any effort to make it her official state of residence. From all indications, Alaska is still her home state and Wasilla her primary residence.

Haha.

I am a HUGE Palin fan, but that photo makes me laugh out loud.

That is awful. :D

I think the shading which was introduced did something to the photo.

Go Palin!

Yep. That's my first thought as well.

I doubt it would take the GOP-E to engineer that. Every politician in Alaska would know if Palin is a vulnerable weak candidate, some on the Republican side would chose to run against her.

The last poll I saw had Begich crushing Palin in a hypothetical matchup. Only Joe Miller is less popular than Sarah, so neither of them would probably make good candidates right now. Politically, at least in Alaska, Palin seems to have done tremendous damage to herself by quitting her job as governor. It's just not something that is easy to recover from.

Well yes, and no.

Though I agree with you for the most part.

Palin is a special case. A large portion of America wants her to run, more than they’ve ever wanted anyone to do anything.

I’m completely serious.

Yet at the same time, she’s a private individual at the moment.

Period. Until / unless she changes that.
