Yes. I was just remembering that the other day. I had been trying to think why Soros thought he had to threaten CNN, and Lou Dobbs came to mind. The head of CNN claiming that Obama’s original BC had been destroyed - and Fukino saying that no records have been destroyed, in response - also came to mind.
I had been thinking that Sean Hannity was the guy who gave Doug Hagmann a signed statement regarding the threats, since MediaMatters has always kept a close eye out for him and applied not-very-subtle pressure/coercion to him. But I should look at the timing of the Lou Dobbs situation. It might have been Lou Dobbs’ credible questions which prompted the threats at the time. Both Fox and CNN were threatened, plus a couple more cable news networks and 2 large radio companies. I’d have to look at my notes from Hagmann’s interview with Laurie Roth to see who the others were.
OK, it looks like the bullet fired into Dobbs’ home (while his wife stood nearby) was Oct. 5, 2009, a year after the original threats. Dobbs and others suggested it was in response to his opposition to amnesty. Things had been shaky between CNN leadership and Dobbs after Dobbs reported on eligibility lawsuits in July of 2009 and had been ordered to stop reporting on it.
