Duke Cunningham comes to mind. Of course he was a Republican. Alcey Hastings (Democrat) was a federal judge who impeached and removed from office.

Of course, he was elected to Congress and has been there collecting the graft ever since.

But you are right, prominent politicians, especially Democrats are seldom if ever even prosecuted much less removed from office.
