Re: my post on the MA snowstorm -- I agree that requests to stay off the roads can be appropriate in some parts of the country during snow emergencies. In MA, the governor ordered everyone off the roads. I believe the fine was $500 if you drove that day.

The fine was $500 if you went on the road and impaired snow removal. They weren’t stopping you, but if you caused them to have to dig you out...you were screwed.
