As news of last nights incident in Watertown, Massachusetts spread, police from all over the North East converged, once again, on Boston. Along with them were elements of the National Guard and U.S. military.
Though an official announcement has not been made, and likely will not be made, the entire Boston metropolitan area is now in complete lock-down in what can only be described as a de facto state of martial law.
By all accounts, law enforcement and military personnel have classified Boston and surrounding towns a war-zone, especially after a gunfight yesterday evening that left one of the Boston Marathon Bombers dead and the other still at large. In a video of the early morning engagement, rapid gunfire and explosive detonations, believed to be more pressure cooker bombs, can be heard as police and residents scrambled.
This has led to shelter-in-place orders being issued by officials, a widespread militarization of nearly a hundred square miles surrounding Boston, and deserted streets throughout the city.

More accurately, how many are worried they will be prosecuted if they come face to face with the suspect.
BREAKING NEWS ON FOX 7:05 E.T.....suspect down .....i think they might have trapped the 2nd RAT...stand by..a house in watertown gunshots...20 shots fired....cops talkin amongst themselves we go him under a canvas cover in a boat yahooo!
Yeh enacting de facto martial law or sheltering in place which I guess is the new phrase for it just to catch one 19 year old thug is a little over the top. Door to door forced entry didn’t turn me on either.
This is just live practice for the jackboots and conditioning for psyops.
AWW he’s still kickin’ i was hopin he’d be on a nice ice cold marble slab by now...oh well...
I wonder what a “limited search” means?
Maybe it’s wow, looks at those guns, jewels and moolah, mental notes for next time.
Listen my Children, and you shall hear
how 2 islamic jihadis had us cowed in fear.
It was the 18th of April in twenty-thirteen
when two Shechen brothers, 26 and 19,
Had 4 million “Patriots” sheltering-in-place,
none of them daring to show his face.
This country has become a dem-rat disgrace.
President Bush took the war on terror to them, and 0 bummer brought it to our soil. Tagline change.
I heard the news of the de facto police state and thought “No, they must be kidding”.
Suspect in custody (good!). Still, a scary day for liberty loving Americans everywhere.
I need a new screen, keyboard and cleanup on isle 9....
LOL
If this is what “victory” looks like, we are screwed.
Think about it. Two 20 year old punks managed to:
Successfully pull of a bomb attack using multiple devices in the middle of a major public event in a major American city, causing well over a hundred casualties. Then they eluded capture AND paralyzed an American city for FIVE DAYS!
While on the run they managed to kill two more people during a hasty retreat using home made explosive devices and other as of yet unknown weapons.
These two individuals had tens of millions of dollars expended trying to track them down. Literally thousands of law enforcement and first responder types were completely tied down for DAYS. All of this for two punks who had no Earthly reason to be in this country in the first place and every reason to have been deported 2 FREAKING YEARS AGO!
And these idiots are on TV calling this a victory? We can’t take too many more of these victories...
Remember what the DC snipers did to Maryland and surroundings. That was just two pinheaded muzzies like these.
At least the Boston cops didn’t open fire on innocent cleaning ladies like the LA cops did during the Dorner madness.
Indeed. If I were in charge, I would be looking to deputize as many citizens proficient in arms as possible (”the militia”). They aren’t going to go to work anyway, so why not put them to work for me?
Anyone else get the shivers about all those military type vehicles rolling through American Streets? It was very reminiscent of images I remember from when the Soviets invaded Yugoslavia.
The city was shut down (Martial Law)? Was all that really necessary to catch 2 measly terrorists? Or was it just a chance to practice for future events that might really require such overwhelming force?
I am glad they got the Bozos.
As unfortunate as it may be, when you have some trained killer running around, possibly with explosives, ordinary police vehicles won’t do.
It’s not “Martial Law” anymore...it’s a cuter “Shelter in Place” now.
Well, I dunno, I lived through lots of stuff happeing in the streets of America, and molotov cocktails were thrown.
I don’t remember seeing a whole crap load of military stuff brought out to deal with it. Course, back in the day, Swat teams didn’t exist either.
Necessary or not, it still gave the creeps. But, don’t worry, I am sure we’ll all get adusted to it one way or the other.
Saddest words I heard throughout the night was when the firefight was on you could hear an officer shouting..”Do you have rifles!”.....the fact they even had to ask is chilling.
