Our country is in danger, but not to be despaired of. Our enemies are numerous and powerful; but we have many friends, determining to be free, and heaven and earth will aid the resolution. Doctor Warren should forever be remembered and celebrated in these united States. As a general officer he literally fought as a Private. He is famous for his heroic actions, and for his utterances. He wrote to his mother: “Now is no time for any of Americas children to shrink from any hazard. I will set her free or die.”
For his fighting spirit and gallant conduct beyond any imaginable military duty, Joseph Warren should be recommended for a postumous Congresional Medal of Honor.
