If you have felt disappointed because Secretary of State John Kerry hasnt yet joined most of his Obama administration colleagues to offer an ignorant opinion on the gun debate, well, this post is for you. While on a trip to Asia ostensibly to deal with the crisis on the Korean peninsula, Kerry took time out to poll his hosts on their views of gun control:

Its difficult to know where to start with this nonsense. First, as we have repeatedly pointed out, gun deaths have declined each year since the expiration of the nonsensical assault weapons ban in 2007, in every category. You are twice as likely to die from personal weapons as from rifles of any kind, according to FBI crime statistics. Gun ownership levels arent rapidly changing, and to the extent they are, the correlative drop in gun-related homicide victims at the very least means (a) the US is getting safer over the last several years, and (b) legal gun ownership isnt statistically related to crime.

Japan was afraid of us 75 years ago thinking that there would be a gun behind every blade of grass. It worked then thus the later day gun grab for an easier take over.
Fine, they can stay home.
I wouldn’t go to Japan if I were afraid of ninjas.
Someone needs to tell Lurch this is the US, not Japan. I could care less what they think.
Yet the Japanese love to go to Guam on holiday.......to shoot!

If it keeps more nutcase immigrants out of my country, I’m all for it.

Thank you for the laugh.
Yup! and more room in our Universities for our home grown students.
There are no shortage of international students here at UF.
So what, John? We obviously have more than enough hoplophobes in this country already. Besides, if they’re that stupid, then if they stayed they’d probably just end up voting Democrat anyway, and who wants that?
There’s gun control in China, maybe they can go to Nanking, I’m sure they’ll feel safe there.
I lived in Japan for eight years and I never saw a single ninja.
Wait a minute...
I had a thought... Too bad the mexicans aren’t scared of us.....
They, unlike the modern Japanese, are well-armed.
” Figures have shown international study is down markedly among Japanese students to all destinations, including the United States. Experts have attributed the decline to Japans low birthrate, the expense of foreign study in a poor economy, and a desire among Japanese young people to remain at home rather than venture to other countries.
“
It’s not the guns , stupid .
Ya....they’ve been insane for a long, long time but, their brand of crazy has produced some pretty cool stuff.
But, I guess the katana doesn’t offset WWII.
