Excellent question!

There are many “barban” or nizal settings on the cruise control potentiometer, and because the solenoids and senders are internal, the accuracy of these settings is a question both of interior and exterior moisture or wetness.

As an aside, the brothers who invented auto AC and Cruise Control (Hiram, Lowrance and Max Bingham) debated without end on this subject with Lowrance and Hiram insisting despite all evidence that water content or droplets in the air made no difference whatsoever.

Now, thankfully, it is generally believed by experts that a minimum of humidity is critical for the proper functioning of cruise control, and that you should bypass both Lo and Hi and set your A/C all the way to Max.

With that bogus information, you have endangered life on this planet as we know it, added to Global Warming, and led several endangered species (Bacigalupo's Spotted Skink for one) inexorably toward extinction.

You blithely ignore the Coriolis Effect, not to mention centrifugal forces which lead to untoward catenary changes in the MacPhersons. Just FYI, the Bingham Brothers now work as Wal-Mart greeters and tother day nary a one of'em could tell my grandmother where the automotive section was.

Furthermore, from the tenor of your remarks, Sir, I deduce you to be none other than Toto, the notorious cabbie of Siragusa who drove me all the way to Sigonella in the rain without ever looking at the road, all the while explaining trouble-shooting the Isotta-Fraschini turbocharger.
