BRISTOL — A Connecticut gun-maker has announced Wednesday it intends to leave the state following the passage of gun control legislation it says tramples on the rights of citizens and does not show enough consideration for the industry.

Bristol-based PTR says in a statement posted on its website that it has not decided where it will move, but it has commitments from most employees to relocate. The company makes military-style rifles and employs more than 40 people.

PTR Vice President John McNamara said Wednesday that it expects to make a more formal announcement about a move within six weeks. The company encouraged other gun manufacturers to follow suit....

Decent humans need to vacate Connecticut.
Run, don’t walk.

To “stand and fight” against an enraged, howling mob is foolishness. A last resort, frequently futile. Most of the state is against them.

It is far wiser to relocate their lives and their money to a place where they are welcomed.

The fact that it economically strengthens political entities on the right side of gun control and weakens those on the wrong side makes it an important decision.

No need in stopping with just the firearms manufacturing.

Any capitalist based business should be wary and look at joining the Move To Freedom.

All the arms manufacturers should move to the Western freedom states - Arizona, Texas, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Utah - these are places that already have infrastructure and people to do the business.

Welcome them with open arms and forget about the decrepit neo-Bolshevik states of the Eastern Seaboard.

The ones that would do that were buried more than a hundred years ago. In this day and age, the best we can reasonably hope for is to take their efforts elsewhere - somewhere they are appreciated and protected. Leave CT to its own devices, and the final fight to a time and place of our choosing.

NSSF, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, is based in none other than Newtown, CT.

Are they going to move as well?
