Under the Patriot Act the DHS has the absolute right to seize, without any warrant whatsoever, any and all customer bank accounts, to make periodic and unannounced visits to any bank to open and inspect the contents of selected safe deposit boxes.

I read the snopes discredit. They asked a Bank of America manager and they said it was false. Oh, I feel much better now./sarc
Already there.
However, the Patriot Act is Bush-era legislation. Very few Freepers were comfortable with the Patriot Act because of the potential for abuse by a future leftist administation.
Having said that, your source is a report of a report of a two-year old unsourced posting in the rumor section of a political discussion board who's participants have debunked the initial post.
We don't need to lose credibility here by buying into poorly sourced accusations. This is the type of strawman that the left likes to use to discredit us.
I don’t believe this for one moment. The Constitution is quite clear, and DHS can no more conduct warrantless searches and seizures than BATFE can infringe on our right to keep and bear arms. Any government that would allow this to happen is an illegitimate enemy of the people, and I trust Obama to . . . oops.

Also Known as USA Patriot Act II

I know the source is considered whacky by some, but it is laid out by sections and I have seen this many other places.
Then trace the source of the poster’s information.
See if you can find anything that gives this any credibility, such as a memo or a law citation.
“This wont pass a SC challenge and i suspect youll hear an immediate one “
I makes me feel so secure that 44.4% of USSC black robed traitors cannot figure out what the Constitution says yet we all are supposed to follow the law.
IMO, ignorance of the law IS the only reasonable response to a government which writes laws containing thousands of pages and even the best legal minds (well actually, like all lawyers, are simply the best truth contortionists money can buy).
If the 9 cannot agree what chance does the average citizen have to know what is and is not legal?
Right from the beginning of the “patriot act” I knew that 9/11 was just an excuse to get the kinds of powers that they had always dreamed of. People died and they used that as an excuse to turn the USA into a police state.
Bush signed the law.
They have a list of wishes - laws that they know we would resist. As soon as a major event happens, they look at the list and decide which one of their wishes can come true. The media understands all this and knows what’s on the list, and does its duty and hypes the event, knowing that it’s really about the agenda.
People, there is no private property. It’s just an illusion. You think you own something. You don’t. When the powers can walk in and take what they want, you don’t own anything.
I provided the Snopes link, because some peeople don’t want to due the legwork to trace a source.
If you want to see something more credible to show that it is just rumor, then do the legwork yourself.
Trace the source provided by the poster. You’ll find the source that the poster uses is a report of a report (Investment Watch blog - which is just a left as Snopes), which sources a two-year old political discussion board posting...that is unsourced.
It’s why democrats keep their money in the freezer.
bkmk
You discredit Snopes (which I’m fine with), but then post a link to an article written by Alex Jones (a truther)?
And even if I were to give Alex Jones any credibility for his interpretation, his article only makes ONE claim about banks: he claims that “the government” (not necessarily DHS) has the right to mine bank account information. This is not the same thing as “confiscating bank accounts without warrant”
I didn’t discredit snopes, I discredited the source snopes used for said discreditation (is that a word?), namely a Bank of America manager. I did say tht Jones is wacky, but he is right once in awhile (broken clock). I see that Heritage Foundation has a document to download on the Patriot Act, which I will do when I get on my other computer.
If they can confiscate and/or freeze bank accounts of “terror suspects” safety deposit boxes are included.
actually, some corrupt agents will just steal some of the cash and jewelry and not file a report to his DHS boss
democrats dont have any money. they have food stamps and 5 kids with 4 diff daddies
