At the time of the Feb. 2013 release of my book On the Jewish Question – Karl Marx, anti-Semitism and the war against the West, I notified hundreds of museums, institutions, periodicals, and university departments specializing in the Holocaust and in Holocaust and Genocide Studies asking them to please consider including the topics I covered in my book in their discourse. I notified Jewish organizations across the United States and the world. Other than one or two neutral acknowledgements and a couple of nasty emails the silence was deafening.
My book is about the one aspect of the rise of Nazism and the implementation of the Holocaust against the Jews of Europe that is virtually never discussed. Indeed, this one aspect, one out of many that exist in a vast and complex subject, has been virtually airbrushed out of the public discourse. My book has been censored from the otherwise excellent and probative body of analysis and thinking on the topic. I contend that there will never be an integrated understanding of the Holocaust until the subject I raise is broached. The blackout of information I have researched is a crime against the memory of the six million victims of the Holocaust whose blood cries out from the grave for the truth and for justice. It is also an abrogation of responsibility regarding adherence to the spirit of the slogan “never again.”
The politically incorrect and still sensitive aspect that I raise is the influence that Karl Marx, as evidenced by his anti-Jewish tract On the Jewish Question, first published in 1844 and re-published numerous times and in many languages, had on Nazism and on Hitler. In my book I re-publish Marx treatise, a tract which should be listed in the same infamous pantheon of anti-Semitic hate literature as Mein Kampf and as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, in its entirety with commentary. I link that hateful treatise to the political and philosophical aspirations and the political formation and nature of Nazism. Marx ideas, as I demonstrate, were completely absorbed by Hitler and by the Nazis and Marx ideas, and strategies, had a great deal to do with the Holocaust.
In On the Jewish Question, Karl Marx wrote the following:
What is the secular basis of Judaism? Practical need, self-interest. What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering. What is his worldly God? Money.
Marx theorized that the best means of eliminating from human society those natural human traits, self-interest, Huckstering, Money, was for Judaism to be made impossible to use his term. Philosophically, Marx claimed that human nature could be changed by eliminating what he viewed as bad influences. Marx wrote about false consciousness which he applied to Judaism, false consciousness that he claimed was created by exploiters. He believed that such false consciousness could be replaced by a new paradigm that would advance human society toward utopia.
He sought to replace such positive human traits as self-interest, which is the natural desire of the human being to define his own life and destiny with collectivism. He sought to replace Huckstering, which is the natural need for the human being to trade goods and services in an atmosphere of freedom with utopia. He sought to replace Money, which allows people a means to store value and which is the basis of private property with Communism. I examine the similarities between this and the Nazi concept of the Ubbermench.
I have been fascinated by the Holocaust since as a child I heard my grandparents and uncles and aunts discuss the topic and the people who were murdered. I wondered how it could have happened. I have searched for an answer ever since. In my quest I try to leave no stone unturned as such a terrible crime deserves a complete and dispassionate understanding. My intention is not to hurt anyone’s feelings, only to get closer to the truth. At this point in history, after subsequent genocides which took place after World War II and with the genocidal forces that the State of Israel faces, I would hope that others would be courageous enough to join me in my quest.

The reason for their silence is because Karl’s lineage from his grandfathers on backward is a long line of Orthodox rabbis.
At some point his parents converted to the Lutheran denomination of Christianity. Think of Karl like the crazy uncle no one speaks of or associates with in way except that this uncle ended up killing a bunch of his own family.

It would be easy enough to dismiss Marx as a self-hating Jew. The real complication, I think, is that ethnic Jews were sufficiently over-represented in Communist ranks that it is dangerous for an academic’s career to explore the links between Communism, Jewishness and anti-semitism, especially after Hitler conflated Bolshevism and Jews for his own purposes.
I, like the author, was riveted by the Holocaust and read everything I could get my hands on about it for about three years solid, histories, documentaries, biographies trying to wrap my mind around how this evil could possibly have occurred. I came to one conclusion: evil, pure unadulterated evil. Judaism will never die, because it is God’s. Marx was an instrument of the devil, like Hitler, Stalin, Chavez all socialists.
I have not read your book, but in the article, you did not touch the great problem as to why there was such a powerful Nazi crusade against Bolshevism if Karl Marx’s anti-Semitic essay against the Jews were so much a part of the Holocaust. It quickly gets too complicated it seems to me, and Occam’s razor comes in from behind to cut away at your thesis. The opposition between Fascism and Communism may not mean all that much to conservatives today (we don’t distinguish between Buchenwald & the Gulag Archipelago), but it meant a lot to those involved in the debate, and some 50 million people lost their lives over it.
yes, Lutheran, the dominant religion where Marx’s family lived in Germany. But religion was not a significant part of Marx’s life, other than in his philosophical analyses. The big deal with Marx was his materialism, that is: analyzing everything in terms of wealth (which he saw as leading to power). This caused him to be classified as an atheist generally. He discounted religion as (famously) the opiate of the masses, that is... something in which the not-wealthy found solace (and as something foisted on the people by those with wealth and power) ... and which, by calming them with myth (including the promise of a better future in the “imagined” nigh and nigh), kept them from critical analysis of their present (down-trodden, very real) condition.. and especially, from doing anything about it (revolution).
This very limited view of religion does not reflect Lutheranism, Christianity, or Judaism. Obviously. It reflects Marx’s philosophy, though, and is totally consistent with his position that previous philosophers described the world whereas “the point is to change it.” Marx hoped to change society to one in which everybody had enough means so that their basic nature would then willingly share the wealth. But, Marx realized that this change would only arise through “force,” with a temporary “dictatorship of the the proletariat” confiscating the wealth of the few for “redistribution” to the masses. Marx was, underneath all this, also a bit of a utopian idealist, however, in that he allowed that the change could possibly be brought about by infiltrating and using the democratic systems in those countries having same (although direct force was more clearly necessary in non-democratic societies). Either way, Marx’s dream encompassed a (later) time when almost all government would become “unnecessary” ... after the dictatorship of the proletariat had done its job. But, Marx never quite specified (to my knowledge, anyway) how he expected this dictatorship to yield its enormous power when that time (hopefully) came.
Alas. We are now experiencing precisely such “hope and change” or “transformation” as Obama “shares the wealth” — meaning, of course, yours and mine, and most certainly not HIS (for he continues to amass riches all over America at his $38.600 a plate chicken fundraiser dinners — which only proves that there are many “useful idiots” with all “too much wealth,” in Marxian terms at least).

Sorry, Yehuda, there were many Jews in the high ranks/inner circle of the Bolsheviks - Trotsky was a Jew; Genrikh Yagoda, the head of the NKVD, was a Jew; Zinoviev was a Jew; Radek was a Jew; Kamenev was a Jew; Litvinoff was a Jew; and even the assassin of the Czar and his family, Yakov Yurovsky, was a Jew.
Before he died, many Soviet experts believed Joseph Stalin was planning to rid the USSR of Jews...and was in the process of his “Jewish Doctors” purge.
No surprise Marx and Communism would be anti-Semitic, even with many of the early Communist leaders of the USSR were Jewish
