We are rapidly approaching a situation in this country where the majority of Americans will not be able to acquire the basic necessities for life. With tens of millions of people unemployed, living in poverty and struggling just to make ends meet, its a wonder that the system hasnt already collapsed in on itself.
For the time being government social safety nets have kept the restless at bay by providing assistance for food, medical care and housing. In fact, nearly half of Americans receive some form of benefit or distribution from the government on a monthly basis.
Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is relentlessly expanding our monetary base while the US government borrows unfathomable amounts of money just to stay afloat and maintain a perception of stability. What do you think about the Generac? Pros/Cons?
I like mine, but I do wish I’d bought a larger unit. Just couldn’t afford it.
Pros? It does the job powering our entire house except for the central air. It will run our furnace, which is nice. I added a Tri-fuel kit so it runs on propane or NG if I need it to. That’s what I’d recommend as either is much cheaper than gasoline.
Cons? It’s loud. So I’m building a small shed for it and adding a muffler. I have the GP 5500 and installed a 6 position transfer switch kit so all I have to do is plug in the 220 inlet to the house. It works well.
Thanx for the info. That appears to be just what I was looking for. ;)
A while back I wrote a thread on it. Search my history and you should find it. If not let me know and I’ll dig it up for you.
If you cant answer that question, its strike one.
Oh that's good. Maybe follow up with "Who is John Galt?".
