As has been reported, the DHS has released documents listing Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who support gun rights, who oppose the Federal Reserve, oppose illegal immigration and oppose abortion as “domestic extremists” and terrorists.
Over the last year, the DHS has purchased nearly 2 billion rounds of mostly hollow point ammunition, more than 2,700 MRAP vehicles designed to withstand mine blasts, 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles and $2 million worth of paper targets depicting average Americans with the label “No More Hesitation.” These purchases have led many to believe that the agency is getting ready to fight Americans, as the DHS only operates domestically. If this is true, then the fact that they’re spying on people with anti-government views means they’re preparing to fight those people.

That is probably very true. But i think Zero has selected some guy to be wormed into these guys organizations too, to tie them up with FEMA.
That article confirms what I have come to believe:
It is not now so much Democrat vs. Republican, or Conservative vs. Liberal, it is Government Insiders vs. ordinary citizens.
Government of the people, by the people and for the people is no more.

Remember, there is NO HONEST way our ruling elite can amass the wealth they do on the salary we pay them. They will fight to OUR death to keep their gravy train running. Why else would they spend millions to get a job that only pays a few hundred thousand?
Individuals have never been able to inflict the degree of carnage on civilization like powerful governments.
The Founders knew this and gave us every tool possible to keep the government in check. They did not want “NO Government” they wanted “LIMITED” government.
You can look at just about any type of organization throughout recorded history and see when it becomes too powerful it will ALWAYS become evil.
Governments, religion, big business, big labor... the bigger they become the more corrupt and abusive they become. They will never relinquish ANY power without a fight.
The US Federal government (and many State Governments) crossed the line years ago and just like a giant ball of snow rolling down the hill they are gathering size, inertia, speed, and most importantly, killing power. We are at the bottom of the hill and the ruling elites at the top are keeping a keen eye on us to make sure we do nothing to that weapon of government to decrease its size, speed and potential impact.
We continue to refuse to take our kids/grand kids out of government schools so the indoctrination will continue until the point is reached (already there IMO) when we can no longer peacefully, via elections, get government back in the constitutional box. Our laziness will be our downfall.
In the Old Testament story of Moses leading the enslaved nation of Israel out of Egypt, it is interesting that a generation had to die. Those that knew only slavery, and constantly wanted to go back to that system, had to die before a intellectually free people could go into the promised land.

I see some validity in your point, however, I could envision this summer as perfectly ripe for strife. The propagandists would just blame the “evil republicans’ and tea party’s” extreme sequestor budget cuts!

Ive seen that at every tea party event I’ve been to, easy to spot.
