DHS confirms it's spying on 'anti-government' Americans

In an effort to clear up “misconceptions” that the Fusion Centers of the Department of Homeland Security spy on Americans, Arkansas State Fusion Center Director Richard Davis denied that they do this, instead saying that they’re only spying on “anti-government” Americans

...

As has been reported, the DHS has released documents listing Ron Paul supporters, libertarians, people who support gun rights, who oppose the Federal Reserve, oppose illegal immigration and oppose abortion as “domestic extremists” and terrorists.

Over the last year, the DHS has purchased nearly 2 billion rounds of mostly hollow point ammunition, more than 2,700 MRAP vehicles designed to withstand mine blasts, 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles and $2 million worth of paper targets depicting average Americans with the label “No More Hesitation.” These purchases have led many to believe that the agency is getting ready to fight Americans, as the DHS only operates domestically. If this is true, then the fact that they’re spying on people with anti-government views means they’re preparing to fight those people.

You’re not off the mark, Gray, but I believe they’re going to wait as long as they can before acting. They know that American conservatives are waiting for this. The longer they wait, the lower the enemy’s morale dips.

"It’s only a matter of time before Jim and John get a knock at their door asking for the names of every FReeper. I think that’s why when FR is down, I get a knot in my stomach."

They don't need to do such. The Internet has built in tracking due to the internet laws already in place. If you pay for internet service the Gub'ment has at their fingertips everything you do on the internet. Its built into the system by law!

Actually, I think it’s the opposite.

Their HUGH and SERIES fault is they do not have the patience to wait. We see it everyday, they are no longer hiding behind the skirt of commie.

They are FULL BLOWN out....just like the homos.

I’ll look the data over, but let us be clear on this: Little Green Footballs and Business Insider are whackjob leftist websites.

7,000 fully automatic assault rifles

Ahem. "Personal defense rifles"

Yup. Any time they want to pick us up on some charge and reel us in, they can.

Sad that we see it but can’t do anything to stop it. They have unchecked, unbridled power and they know it.

Hopefully they’re doing it on 80 meter band because there’s a lot of talk going on there.

It is sad. However, it has been written and will therefore be. He knows all and had it written so that we could protect ourselves from eternal damnation.

I just always thought we could change the outcome. =(

Line from the first “Red Dawn”:

“If we’re all gonna die, at least die standing up!”

You’ve heard that saying about how many laws the average citizen breaks in one day without even knowing it?

Start counting your own personal qualities & background and guess just many of those might put you on a gubmint watch list.

However, it doesn't mean we can't stand up to them. We may be slaughtered, but at least we die fighting for righteousness and freedom to which He has given us.....and they can't take away which He has given.

No, they’re not tanks of course. Neither is an MRAP, for that matter. From mainstream press sites you just have to hack trough a lot of verbal jungle. So your advice is to not look at the mainstream? Tempting, but a little blinkered ;).

From what I can see, these things are a lot like anti-insurgency vehicles, like seen in Ireland, South Africa and elsewhere.

That is why the Marines bought them.

When I attended the first “Tea Party” on 15 April 09, in Albuquerque, we noticed DHS traveling up and down the street several times during the protest (which by the way the Chief of Police commented later was the most peaceful, well-behaved group of its size he could remember). ANd those were just teh “marked” vans. God only knows how many unmanned vehicles there were. There were also several very conspicuous men in plain dark suits stand around throughout the crowds.

They also didn’t buy 2 billion rounds of ammunition over the last year either. They initiated a multi-year purchase contract, but to phrase it like they took delivery of 2 billion rounds and have them sitting in a warehouse somewhere is just plain deceptive. Unfortunately, the gullible ones on FR eat this alarmist junk up because it dovetails with their suspicions.

Libs aren’t the only ones who can be blinded by what they want to believe.

Which is besides the point, since the story that the purchase was for DHS is completely false. It was a military purchase.

Who cares? The DHS didn’t purchase them, the military did.
