The spirit of lawlessness released by Barack Obama...It is astounding that one of the arguments seriously considered by the Supreme Court today, and probably to be brought up tomorrow, is that the side defending the goernment's side on traditional marriage has no standing in court because those taking that side do not represent the governmant. The people either by direct referendum or through elected legislators have passed laws upholding tradional marriage. They have also elected edministrators - a governor and president - whose job it is to defend and uphold the laws as they stand. Both Obama and Brown in California, in their infinite wisdom decided for themselves that they didn't like those laws, and thus would ignore their duties to protect them. Both the people and the courts are put in the bizarre situation of facing a trial with no one to uphold the affirmative side in the government's argument. At the very least, the Supreme's should hold both Obama and Brown in Contempt of Court for failing to provide appropriate and competent counsel for what is technically their own case - ultimately of course both should be impeached.....

"The Tenth Amendment, makes explicit the idea that the federal government is limited only to the powers granted in the Constitution."

I'm not sure what part of: "powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States or the people", they don't get.

Yet they so easily dismiss any challenge to the eligibility of the most high (requirements of which are clearly outlined in the Constitution), as not having standing.

Have we the people, come to that point in our existence as a nation, where we've become too stupid to carry on?

No document, however brilliantly written or divinely inspired, can fix stupid; especially if the people/government or its "Supreme" council of judges fail to adhere to it.
