On Saturday March 23, Terry M. Hestilow, a retired Army officer with nearly 30 years of service under his belt, posted this letter he sent to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) this week. Hestilow wants DHS to hand over their war weapons to the Department of Defense.
The Honorable Senator John Cornyn, State of Texas United States Senate 517 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510
Re: Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and that agencies preparation for war against citizens of the United States of America
Dear Senator Cornyn,
It is with gravest concern that I write to you today concerning the recent appropriation of weapons by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that can only be understood as a bold threat of war by that agency, and the Obama administration, against the citizens of the United States of America. To date, DHS has been unwilling to provide to you, the elected representatives of the People, justification for recent purchases of almost 3,000 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) armored personnel carriers, 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition (with associated weapons), and other weapons systems, when, in fact, the DHS has no war mission or war making authority within the limits of the United States of America.
Significant is the fact that at the same time the Obama administration is arming his DHS for war within the limits of the United States against the People of the United States in accordance with his 2008 campaign speech claiming,
We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that weve set. Weve gotta (sic) have a civilian national security force thats just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded [as the United States military]Candidate Barack Obama, 2008......

So I thought the House controls the purse strings? Why don’t they defund Obamacare?
Has run-flats.
These would be fun to watch maneuver here in the WV mountains on our great roads.
One large bottle (a pickle jar?) with one ingredient and containing 1-3 small bottles (a relish jar?) inside it filled with the other ingredient.
Good sealing lids and it's ready. You have to really heave it to break the small bottles inside.

So I thought the House controls the purse strings? Why dont they defund Obamacare?”
I believe they could vote to do so and IMO they should vote just on that one issue alone. Time to get people on the record. But Boner won’t allow it to come up for a vote. He’s already publicly announced that he doesn’t want to shut the government down.
He’s just Obama’s errand boy.
There is enough money coming in if it were shut down to pay for Medicare, our military and debt payments. Even if it were shut down, there are many areas that are exempt, like the President’s expenses. I also do believe that Federal employees who find themselves without a job for a period of time also are eventually reimbursed for their off payroll time.
So that leaves the millions of children who would be starving to death, millions of women who would be made homeless, etc., etc.
IMO Obamacare will never be defunded and this issue, along with amnesty and gay marriage will be the final straws which lead to the extinction of the Republican party. So hope Boner enjoys his last term as House Majority Leader.
So we have no one in power representing us.
Taxation Without Representation
The morals in this country are in a rapid downward spiral to the point of “I wanna get what’s mine!”, the perfect savage environment. They are voting for “their share” and nothing else.
And they’ll love rolling around in the fire ants!!
Good to know. Interesting tactical implications.
So we have no one in power representing us.
Taxation Without Representation.”
That about sums it up.
UKs coldest spring since 1963 claims 5,000 lives
Germany Coldest spring on record (for northern and eastern Germany)
Oops. Wrong thread. First time I did that.
I said defund Obama care too, but found out why that wasn’t happening. They can’t defund it under a continuing resolution because it is current law. They can defund it in a budget because that is new law. That is one reason the Rats wanted one CR after another.
Thanks for the clarification. But they could have voted to defeat the CR?
