I would very much love to see our conservative media people stand up and exhibit the sort of courage that forebears such as Thomas Paine did, but it's pretty obvious that few, if any of them, are up to the calling.

A true patriot on the level of a Thomas Paine would never get the sort of national platform that Rush and Sean enjoy. Not in this corrupted, degraded culture.

No, the real patriots sounding the call are to be found in the blogosphere and places like Free Republic, where unfortunately, they're only heard by a fraction of the American people.
