My local Walmart has not had any common caliber ammo since late last summer.
They have a few dusty boxes of bird shot and some odd caliber stuff that looks like surplus from the siege of Khartoum.
That's it.
And the manager says he has no idea when they will recieve an ammo shipment.
It still could be the 1973 toilet paper shortage syndrome.
For several weeks, people perceived (due to a joke by Johnny Carson) a shortage so bought up every bit of toilet paper as it was delivered to stores, perpetuating the perception of shortage.
The guy at our local Walmart says they are stocking the warehouse and will “dump” it all out on the shelves at once.
That makes no sense to me, but it is what he said.
“...some odd caliber stuff that looks like surplus from the siege of Khartoum.”
lol
My local shop has all of the 7.62 x 38 Nagant revolver ammo and 6.5 Creedmore that anyone could ever want!
Other than that, forget it.
