This would be a major step forward, for if this legislation were to pass, then it would most certainly be a defining moment on the abortion issue. Life is given by God and as such should be protected, especially among the most vulnerable among us.

On this, I can absolutely agree with Rand Paul.
On his Amnesty plan, absolutely not!

I just hope that somehow, some day, that this man is put on our ticket in 2016. I hope he doesn’t have any demons in his closet and will be able to stand up to the garbage-can searches and intimidation that he’ll be subjected to.

Now THIS. This is what I'm talking about. As a true SoCon, I can get behind a man like this. I may have to overlook some of his liberaltarian viewpoints and his soft-on-immigration policies. But first and foremost - If a person is right on the fundamental issues of abortion, then other values are usually correct as well.

One thing I appreciate about Paul... at least he’s putting ideas out on the table. Obviously, they aren’t ones we are always going to agree with, but he’s at least putting some brain cells to use. He’s still better than the rest of the herd, IMO.

Rand needs to put a “NO JUDICAL REVIEW” clause in this as well.

I don't know why this is not paragraphing for me??? The Supreme Court in Roe vs Wade THE SUPREME COURT RULINGS The Supreme Courts abortion rulings include four principal elements: 1 The unborn child is a non-person and therefore has no constitutional rights; ================== The only thing that needs to be done to overturn Roe vs Wade is to get them to agree that the unborn baby is a person. Here is a definition of a person according to Webster (I'm sure the left has their own made of definition of person to keep abortion alive) per·son noun \ˈpər-sən\ Definition of PERSON 1 human, individual sometimes used in combination especially by those who prefer to avoid man in compounds applicable to both sexes. 2 a character or part in or as if in a play : guise 3 a:one of the three modes of being in the Trinitarian Godhead as understood by Christians b : the unitary personality of Christ that unites the divine and human natures 4 a archaic : bodily appearance b the body of a human being; also : the body and clothing 5 the personality of a human being : self 6 one (as a human being, a partnership, or a corporation) that is recognized by law as the subject of rights and duties 7 reference of a segment of discourse to the speaker, to one spoken to, or to one spoken of as indicated by means of certain pronouns or in many languages by verb inflection So, with today technology we should be able to overturn it. The problem we face is thinking like Peter Singer of Princeton who says humans must be self-aware He thinks parents should be allowed to abort (kill) a child up to approximately 2 years or when a doctor decides they are self-aware. SICK, I know.

I think abortion should mostly be illegal, but if life begins at conception, is a fertilized egg in a test tube a human life?
If a nurse drops the test tube, is that manslaughter?
If a mother has a fetus with no head, should she be forced to deliver it?

This is basically the same bill his father and others always put out,
Sanctity of Life Act, that was never supported by other Republicans.

Life At Conception Act Introduced By Senator Rand Paul
Now how about the American Taxpay Relief act of 2013, lowing our taxes to 14.5% and no double taxation on dividends??

> Nothing in this Act shall be construed to require the prosecution of any woman for the death of her unborn child.
I’m not sure that disclaimer would be enough to bring many women voters on board. I think the major step forward would be getting the votes for such bills, not creating them.
