The sighting of a Department of Homeland Security Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) at a gas station near Ybor City, Fla. on Wednesday is raising questions, concerns and fears about what the federal government is foreseeing in terms of likely needs for such armed and armored transports.

Good Lord, did you see post 30?
We know that DHS owns MRAPs, but do they own 16 of them, or almost 3,000?
What would a yes or a no be explaining?
If the answer was yes they bought them, THEN we would be asking WHY? We would be demanding an “explanation”.
"Yes" or "no."
You are doing some good work, can you contact Cruz’s office and ask them about the contract in post 34?
Holy Cow.
I think it has been established that DHS has some of these, witness the photos of MRAPs with clear DHS markings on them. How many they have may still be an issue, but the fact that they have at least some of these is not.
In this video, A DHS officer talks about his MRAP, he states that his unit is west Texas and eastern New Mexico, and that he assists other units outside that territory. That geographical distribution tells me that there could be hundreds of DRAPs owned by the DHS.
Good Gosh, did you read post 30 or 61?
Think of the resistance movements throughout history. It could be anything with the purpose of making life a living hell for the aggressors. Americans are a creative lot. There is quite a number that will not herd well.

If Obama pulls a martial law stunt, a third will accept it willingly, a third will put up with it but hate it, and the final third will raise hell until they win or are killed off. That’s my current guess.
I know David very well. He is an American hero for his fearless reporting on 2A issues.
“When someone expresses the rational view that we should decide if DHS has actually bought 2700 MRAPs that right now seem to actually be for the military,...”
The Department of Homeland Security is not the Defense Department. If MRAPs were bought for the military, it’s a different order than the one from Homeland Security. See, it’s:
Department of Homeland Security (for the homeland)
Department of Defense (military operations in other lands)
TWO DIFFERENT BUDGETS - LIKE TWO DIFFERENT BANK ACCOUNTS
I’m thinking that the black versions, with only one rear and no side doors, might present a clue. Plus a hole in the roof.
Wouldn't it be great if the DHS told us? When the USMC bought them, every fact, every cost, every number was announced proudly to the world.
Why doesn't the DHS do exactly the same thing? Do they just suck at P.R., or are they hiding something?
Of course, if we still had real reporters in this country, like Woodward back in the Watergate days, we'd probably see it on "60 Minutes."
Today's Woodwards help to cover up Fast and Furious and Benghazi, and wouldn't touch this story with a barge pole.
But you already know that.
I wonder if Mick wrote that song? It’s a masterpiece for the ages.
BTTT for reporting sightings of these NAZI vehicles to #DHSMRAP!
We’d love to know. Why doesn’t the DHS hold a press conference and lay it all out on the table?
“If the government is so worried about a civil disturbance, why are they working so hard to disturb us?”
Becuase that is exactly what they want: To provoke a war. They can’t get Communism fully established without one.
Hey troll, did anybody on this thread claim that the DHS is getting 2,700 APCs? Did I miss that one?
Nice try with the red herrings.
