The sighting of a Department of Homeland Security Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) at a gas station near Ybor City, Fla. on Wednesday is raising questions, concerns and fears about what the federal government is foreseeing in terms of likely needs for such armed and armored transports.

Vyacheslav von Plehve would be so proud.
Of course I am waiting to learn if DHS bought 2,000 MRAPs or if the Marine Corp bought them, before I just start spreading the word and panic that DHS bought them as fact.
Shouldn’t we first determine if they did, if this happened at all?
Taking which side?
How about Running wolf does he sound credible to you, more or less credible than Modern Survival blog?
Do you know either one of them, or me, or David Codrea, or Sally Sweetlies?
Or do you think the black MRAP pics were photoshopped by conspiracy bloggers?
Or do you just love the taste of black boot leather? Lot of that going around lately.
I was hoping that somebody would catch that allusion. Thanks for restoring my faith. Black as night.
Photographing an MRAP is one thing, but the question is whether they own 16 of them or almost 3,000, shouldn’t we at least pretend to want to learn which one is true before we get all hysterical and just claim it as fact?
The final frames in that video really struck me.
Young civilian women ... with guns.
Someone needs to arm themselves with some cans of Krylon and tag it with some swaztikas and hammer/sickles.
It doesn’t bother you that you have to wait for an explanation? It didn’t bother you that it took six weeks and a filibuster in the Senate for the 0bamugamites to simply say “no, we will not kill Americans with drones based on suspicion alone?”
Don’t change the topic, my question is about the rumors of the 2717 MRAPs, are they for the Marines or for DHS?

I know what Martial Law is, but what do you mean by an asymmetric response?
blame it on brain freeze- 18 degrees in Minneapolis. I just got back from trying out my new snow shoe (on the 8 inches of snow on the ground TODAY)
Heavily styrene’d gasoline and black printer toner will blacken the windows and make it impossible to drive because you can’t see out the windshield.
The time has come to dismantle DHS and every SWAT team on every police department in the country. There is no reason for police to have that sort of firepower available to use on the citizenry.
I didn’t change the topic. You said you were waiting for an explanation. I spoke to that comment.

DHS with armored vehicals conducting warrant service?
That video is frightening as you listen to him talk about it.
It wouldn't surprise me if a few were deployed in Florida because of that case... to protect the looters and rioters.
