Every once in awhile, an idea comes along that makes you ask, gee why hasnt anybody seen this before?. This one of those times. This video below is something I almost didnt watch, because my concerns were triggered by a few key words in the beginning. But, recommended by a Facebook friend, I stuck with it, and Im glad I did, because I want every one of you, no matter what side of the climate debate you live in, to watch this and experience that light bulb moment as I did. The key here is to understand that desertification is one of the real climate changes we are witnessing as opposed to some the predicted ones we often fight over.
It is one of those seminal moments where I think a bridge has been created in the climate debate, and I hope youll seize the moment and embrace it. This video comes with my strongest possible recommendation, because it speaks to a real problem, with real solutions in plain language, while at the same time offering true hope.

There is no global warming. global warming is a hoax
Look at solar cycle 25 and you will see the Earth will cool
That the governments spent decades and trillions$ funding this hoax shows government/socialism is a cancer that doesn’t work
The Sun determines the Earth’s climate. Without the sun the Earth would be -473 degrees below zero.
I’m not going to waste electricity watching a video that could have been explained in written words.
I’m already ahead of the game and its free.

“Green the world’s deserts”?
So, all of the desert snakes, horned lizards, and cacti will just adapt to the new ‘green’ deserts?
Oh no! The Great Horny Toad!
Quite a bit of the world’s oil reserves are under deserts. Green up deserts, get people living there, and voila - oil extraction will be totally off limits.
This is a twofer for anti-capitalists. Green up and cool the earth (supposedly) and choke off even more of the world’s oil supply. Drive us all into cities and force us to use public transit and where we can be more easily controlled by Mayor Bloomberg clones. Party time for them.
Oh no! The Great Horny Toad!
I presume you mean your beeber. I bet you don’t even have it on stune!
Allan Savory: How to green the world's deserts and reverse climate change
The government tells us that this macrobiotic soil is a good thing, because it keeps down soil erosion. but this man is saying the opposite, that the macrobiotic soil causes too much runoff.
I believe there may also be another component missing, in that there needs to be more mycelium underneath and throughout the grass roots, which also help store water.
No, i know nothing of beepers but I heard about them, second hand, on FR! It stuned my beeper when I learned about it. : )
Very interesting video. I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for posting the link.
I’m no scientician, but if you “green” the deserts, while they would act as a heat sink, wouldn’t the excess water vapor lead to a greenhouse effect that would more than offset whatever carbon was absorbed by the flora?
more bs. The only REAL problems we have are the government and the news media , and creeps who make up imaginary problems(mostly in the news media)
It's OK.
I have a wood stove.
I like his second approach a whole lot better than his first. I say it’s worth the effort on a bigger scale. As far as global warming, I remember as a child we were taught in grade school, that the sun would naturally warm the earth over time. Don’t think there is anything we can do about this, but this grazing approach and greening areas of the world sounds like a good idea. I’m far throwing money at this idea before giving it to a bunch of scam artist from Solyndra or Al Gore, etc.!
My beeber is totally stuned.
I can’t figure out why we need to green the deserts. They aren’t bothering me a bit.
