While some claims have been made that Alaska is Ground Zero for Global Warming it turns out that the state of Alaska was significantly below normal in 2012. For example, Fairbanks had the coldest year in the 21st century so far, and it was also the second coldest year in more than 40 years accroding to the data presented in this report below.

Weather and climate vary. The weather varies faster than the climate, but both change. Temps go up and temps go down. There is no “Normal” temperature. The temp is what it is, no matter what people think it should be.
Weather is the consequence of all the heat energy received from the sun. Weather spreads the energy and dissipates it, so that over a long period of time, the Earth retains an essentially flat temperature.
Over the short term, temps go and temps go down, and people show their stupidity in saying that they fully understand the changes.
Keep in mind - Libs never let the FACTS stand in their way.
“There is no Normal temperature.”
Drives me crazy when meteorologists talk about “normal” temps. They are AVERAGE temperatures derived from a very limited time frame.
It’s not global warming anymore. It’s climate change.
No matter what the trend: warmer than normal, colder than normal, drier than normal, wetter than normal, more hurricanes, less hurricanes - it’s the fault of fossil fuel emissions. So if we could just get the right balance of fossil fuel emissions (which is really none at all, if enviro nazis had their way), the climate would never vary from one year to the next. It would be Groundhog Day perpetually.
