Could be. I saw him tell people to vote their conscience.

It doesn't matter now. We have to fight what did win. And we need to pull together.

See, FR is a CONSERVATIVE site. This means we don’t want to hear from you if you’re a Paultard. We’re not interested in alternate views about homosexual “marriage”, gun control, soaking the so-called rich, amnesty for illegal alien criminals, and all the rest that Tokyo Rove and his sycophants push on us on a daily basis. If we wanted that, we’d all watch Bill O’Reilly on the FOX Neocon Channel (FNC).

I remember in the earlier days we had a more more diverse set of viewpoints. The arguments were good, IMHO. It's hard to sharpen your debate skills in an echo chamber. I've been spending less time on FR, and more time on other forums where I can argue with libs.

The great zot thread of 2008 was wild. God only know has many FReepers got the zot in just that one thread for comments supporting Giuliani.
But the “Newt or else” era was worse. Much worse. For several weeks in early 2012 one didn’t dare post a negative comment regarding Newt over hundreds of threads or the would be zotted.

Interesting fantasy there, we lost a lot of Santorum supporters did we? Santorum supporters zotted for not backing Gingrich?

I stated several times I thought Gingrich wasn’t a real conservative. People disagreed, but I’m still here. No zot.

You obviously didn't make those comments during the zotting period.

And I do believe it's now safe to bash Newt once again, especially since he made his pro-gay comment.

we need to pull together. It will take a miracle worker. Ever notice how liberals always manage to circle the wagons, but conservatives split into factions and try to destroy each other?

I’m reasonably sure I was here. I’m on this site almost every day. It’s my source of real information.

(And I don’t have a life)

LOL

Unfortunately we swatch here everyday. They can’t let go and fight the correct “enemy”. That would take courage.

Btw, I never saw a post where JR supported Romney. Not one.

There were only two candidates running for the presidency in 2008, B. Hussein Obama and Mitt Romney. If Jim Robinson didn't support Romney then he obviously supported Obama........1 + 1 equals 2 and always has.

Be that as it may, let's go back to this thread......While it appears he had his resrvations, he still supported Romney nevertheless.........

Too bad he didn't feel the same compassion for all the "Romneybots" who were purged that year........

Woo hoo!! Nine more days until we vote Obama's corrupt Marxist regime OUT!!

And I guess hell has frozen over because as much as I dislike Romney's prior RINO positions, I have decided to make my anti-Obama vote count in the only way it might actually do some good. I'm marking my absentee ballot today for Romney-Ryan and I'm voting straight Republican down ticket and no on every ballot issue that would raise taxes, spend money or aid big government or help greedy, thieving socialist workers unions.

You may have been here but you probably didn't make the comments during that period.

And some of the discussion took place late at night...one of the zots in the post linked above took place at 4 am. I doubt you are watching FR 24 hrs. a day.

Fantasy? You having a fantasy? If you say so. But who - may I ask - said anything about Santorum? Stay on topic if you please. The subject is Newt Gingrich.

People are just responding to you for saying JR didn't support Romney. That is false.

No. People are rehashing events that are OVER. They can't be changed. Grow up and let it GO. It's over.

I don’t know where she is. Shortly after I signed up, people kept asking me if I was classy. Now I know why.LOL

I always just told them that my Hubby thought I was classy, and I wasn’t about to dispute it.

Then they would just say sorry and drop the conversation.

Glad to have the mystery solved.

They would drop it because classygreeneyedblond turned out to be a guy!

Read that post again.

You are claiming that Gingrich critics were zotted in a purge.

Santorum versus Gingrich was a major battle here.

My post was totally relevant and you haven’t answered the questions about your pathetic claim “one didn’t dare post a negative comment regarding Newt over hundreds of threads or the would be zotted.”

I ask again “Interesting fantasy there, we lost a lot of Santorum supporters did we? Santorum supporters zotted for not backing Gingrich?’

Sorry, for some reason I didn’t read this comment clearly earlier. Of course you are correct.

I was answering those who can't let go. And you still have no idea what was really going on.

You need to move on. It's over.

Hope your evening is productive.

Santorum versus Gingrich was a major battle here.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How’s the weather in your fantasy land? Santorum? A major battle over Santorum? Dude. Santorum was over and done before he even started. He polled maybe at 1-2 percent the whole time. He was tying Hunstmann for last place. He was just along for the ride. An also-ran.
Santorum?
Palin’s chances were better than his - and she didn’t even run. Look. Evidently you were a Santorum fan. But guess what? He ran - he lost. Get over it.
