I previously wrote about how BuzzFeed Politics has combined the culture and savvy crafting into a highly effective tool for undermining Republicans with subtle and not-so-subtle mockery. Look at the goofy cat, look at the goofy celeb, look at the goofy Republican is more dangerous to us than a 5000-word article in The New York Times Sunday Magazine.
To follow up on that theme, I happened upon a website called Upworthy, which had one its posts run at HuffPo, Elizabeth Warren Asks The Most Obvious Question Ever, Stumps A Bunch Of Bank Regulators.
The post was so wrong on substance, I just had to click over to the source.
And therein I learned what millions of very low-information young liberals already knew there is this website called Upworthy which is one giant liberal activist social media machine which creates viral social media memes in the cause of liberal political activism.
Upworthy was co-founded by the former digital media consultant for MoveOn.org. Upworthy touts its political agenda (emphasis in original):
Upworthy is
social media with a mission: to make important stuff as viral as a video of some idiot surfing off his roof. Heres a piece by The New York Times David Carr about our first 100 days .
Our mission at Upworthy is to elevate and draw attention to the issues that really matter from gay marriage to body image to global poverty through irresistible social media. You should judge us by how good a job were doing at that. And please do, sincerelywe want you to hold us to that standard. Send us_feedback on how were doing, anytime.
For mission-driven-organizations working in a business like lead generation, where youre very tangibly and concretely building organizing power to create change, whom you work with is a moral decision...

Answer: No.
Comment: The left, as of to date, are more intelligent, creative, organized, have a stronger Will to govern and control the more important institutions such as schools and the media. It could be done but Conservatives have a lot of work to do. Conservatism took a major blow in the election of 2012.
Michelle Malkin has Twitchy
Breitbart could. And back in the eighties, there was a young guy [name completely eludes me now] who was trying to make the GOP a little more "hip", but he died young, too.
I think it all goes back to the fact that, for us, politics is something you worry about near election time. For libs, it's the very air they breathe.
I think we need some air.
Lee Atwater, like Breitbart he died way too young.

There are those of us able to do this. The big question is this... Is there anyone willing to help? This type of endeavor takes more than just an individual and can be more time consuming than your average full time job.
I would, yet I’m not a techie in any sense of that word.
Limbaugh had been doing this for our side for years.
Kennedy updates, Gorbasms, NY Mayor Dinkins (to car 54 where are you theme), “Puff the Magic Negro” etc.
I stopped listening to live AM radio. We need a Rush that can do same on the Web. It’s an opportunity waiting for the “right” person or organization. I HAS to be funny, or it won’t work.
That's it! I couldn't even think of a quick way to Google it. Thanks.
This is something I’ve been contemplating for quite a while. If you, or anyone else, would like to explore this idea feel free to PM me.
FReepers...better than Google!
I hope that our goal is not simply to out-snark the left in pursuit of stupid and/or ignorant voters.
Jon Stewart voters.
Heh. You're right. Must keep that in mind.
Bah! They’re superfluous.
Google News, Bing News, etc. search engines guide web surfers away from conservative sites and to liberal sites.
As far as the casual searcher can find the web has the same junk news and views as the media. There’s no escaping their memes.
The web is now part of the media’s “One ring to bind them”.
BTW, Black Mirror is an excellent sci-fi series showing life as our masters imagine it for us. From BBC I think.
