The past year and a half I picked up a Mosin or two every gun show after reading how much the other Texas FReepers enjoyed them. Not only were they dirt cheap (as well as the ammo), they were so plentiful it was no loss reconfiguring them.
I am still seeing them around. Go to pawn shops in smaller towns around you.
It is good timing. Archangel is about to release an upgrade kit with new stock and.... wait for it... 10 round detachable magazine. I am going to be first in line for that. (yep, you read that right, detachable magazine for Mosin).
