Just think of all the manpower and hardware it took to get one guy out here in So California, they have little chance of doing it on a scale like we are talking here. winning
I read on another site that this story had been at least partially debunked. 300 per day is not very many weapons for a manufacturer as large as S&W. I’m wondering if maybe the author merely slipped a decimal.
My greatest regret for 2012 was not picking up a Mosin Nagant M91 when my local guy had crates full of them. Plenty of time, said I. Feh. Foolish.
I guess it shouldn’t but this surprises me.
I would have guessed the shortages would go on for a few high demand guns then pretty much be over in a few weeks.
Same for ammo.
This is clearly more intense than when the ban which sunsetted first was being discussed, then passed.
While I believe this in principle, has the details been proven to be true? I know S&W’s custom shop can produce several hundred per day and when I visited the factory years ago, they were pushing out thousands so to say they are maxed at 300 per day is unusual. Small shops do that.
Yup
Something is up here.
CCI and Federal have the same ammo distributor.
Both Claim they are shipping rimfire ammo.
Oh, the distributor has the DHS contract.
Wholesalers claim they are not getting the shipments.
One thing this whole affair has taught me is the value of having a lot of .22LR on hand. It seems the supply can end just like that.
It’s not just guns and ammo. Other gun related “stuff” is starting to run out too.
I finally decided to shell out a bunch of bucks and bought a very nice second generation night vision rifle scope on-line today. I even called them to make sure they had it, and it was exactly what I was looking for.
It turns out I was too late. The customer service people called me up a couple of hours later and told me they sold the last one a few minutes before I placed my order. I’m now back ordered at least six weeks, assuming I get it at all.
So... I checked around for some other site with the same scope. It was not available anywhere on the web. I noticed a number of other night vision scopes were out as well.
If even night vision scopes are running out, every other kind of accessory is probably running low as well. If you have some accessories you may need/want sometime this year, you should consider getting them NOW.
Black powder revolvers are plentiful and dirt cheap to buy and shoot.
I should have bought gun and ammo stock before this racist marxist was elected-I might have broken even after paying the extra taxes this pResident has put on me.
Bookmarked.
I am not sure most are preparing for war tho that might be a secondary reason, They are preparing for hard times.
Sure a few are preparing for war but if you have the proper guns then you can use them for a lot of uses.
A Browning model 92 lever action chambered for .44 mag is useful for deer and protection. It would also be a fine rifle for waging a partisan ranger style combat. Shoot one time, load one from your pocket. Always have the magazine full and ready.
Can civilian hoarding really account for 22 ammo being unavailable throughout the land??
Bump.
bkmk
Sportsmans Guide had particular ammo listed. Tried to order, but canceled order, when I saw delivery date of JUNE 2013!!!
This was not any ammo that is used in semi-auto’s, either!

Pro 2nd Amendment makers of ammo need to do what many gun manufacturers are doing. Denying sales to certain gov’t agencies.
