CNN has been doing research into what cop killer Christopher Dorner has with him. He does have both military and police training and has already slain three people during his rampage. With the manhunt heating up and now drones being used to search for him, the news network took a closer look at what weapons he has with him.
He claims to have a .50 Cal with him, evidenced by his destruction of an LAPD vehicle during a shootout. But even more distressing is that he claims to have a surface to air missile with him.

If we had an open, honest, investigative news system in this country the concern would never have come up.

Bloody hell. And journos wonder why we are so skeptical of their 'reporting'. What happened to the word "allegedly" that should have been preceeding that statement? Did one of the deceased magically reanimate and proclaim that Dorner was the killer? Then where did they get the info from?
Not as random or clumsy as a blaster, a more elegant weapom for a more civilised age.
When I got there in 1981 the place was still cool.

We lived there in the mid 50’s (dang I’m old all of sudden!) and I went a bunch of times in the early to mid 60’s from New Mexico and it was still cool then. Now we live about 12 miles east of the state line and don’t venture over very often. Maybe to go to Squaw or south Lake Tahoe.
