Maybe not.

Why would they protect a usurper? With a disabled rifle, they are abiding by their oath.

It is bozo himself who leaves himself open to anything.

That's how I view this.

Things really have changed. While I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Tustin CA in 1968, I was one of several Marines detailed to protect LBJ as he saw off a Marine contingent heading for Vietnam to bolster forces after Tet. I was armed with an M14 and a bandoleer of ammunition and stationed on a rooftop overseeing the crowd to prevent any attacks by violent anti war demonstrators. Nothing happened but it was interesting that LBJ trusted us completely -as it should be.
