President Obama recently proved that he shoots skeet, and now Piers Morgan can say hes shot an AR-15. Morgan traveled to Texas today to find out what its like to shoot the gun used in the last five mass shootings in America, including Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Morgan interviewed the owner of a Houston gun range, as he took his turns firing various version of the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle with a 30-round magazine. His aim wasnt perfect, but as Morgan said, once I got the hang of it and began pressing the trigger faster and faster, it was just firing very, very fast.
He proceeded to shoot an AR-15 that had been modified from semi-automatic to fully automatic, a procedure that is illegal, but as the range owner explained, fairly easy for individuals to do with parts that can be purchased legally. Morgan said it felt unbelievably powerful.(continued)

Try a 30.06
How could y’all let him out of Houston without a trip to the woodshed? He was right there. ;p
And someone wants to put females in combat?
I doubt that anyone in Texas wanted to get their hands that dirty.
And I will bet you that within due time, little piers has him one of these bad boys.
Well in their defense, Piers Morgan could have applied for the British Military. My distant Irish RAF cousin is probably going to drop a bomb on my head for saying that too.
Uh....in Sandy Hook, wasn’t the rifle left in the trunk?
I’d like to see the wimp shoot my slug gun (12 ga). Even though I tend to think of recoil as a nice massage, that one even makes me wince a little bit.
I'm serious.
You took the description right out of my oral cavity.
OMFG
No, debunked, many times.
Someone take him out with an M-1 Garand, if he can lift it. Have him run a clip through that.
Then hand him a bolt .300 Winchester or Weatherby Magnum and let him shoot, say, 10 rounds out of that.
No hearing protection either.
That’ll put a little “incredible powerful” on him.
See how his “assault weapon”/very powerful thinking sits with that.
If Nancy-boy Piers thinks an AR-15 has "unbelievable power" then that just shows how out of touch he is with real firearms. I own an AR-15 and I've shot everything up to and including a Barrett M82A1. One of the reasons I like my 5.56 AR is that it is so mild mannered and fun to shoot.
Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan, actually.
Seems to me that our fine soldiers of WWII did quite a bit of damage pulling the trigger as fast as they could with a M1 Garand and they only had eight round clips. What is the lefts obsession with magazine capacity? Even a novice can drop a empty mag and replace it in a couple of seconds. When someone goes off their bean and decides to kill one thirty round mag or three 10 round mags is only seconds. They wont be happy until they have us casting musket balls and loading flintlocks!
BTW...a Garand IS a battle rifle; made specifically for the military and for the battlefield.
See what he thinks of that and see how many rounds he can rip off with that little toy.
Shuda loaned him my friend’s .378 Weatherby, iffn the lil’ Poofter wants power and recoil in a ‘sporting’ gun.
He really would have enjoyed playing sniper and firing it from the prone position.
;-)
Poor thought process by the hosts at the range.
Should have started him off with a 30.06 and point out that this was standard GI Issue.
Then, have his shoot the AR, to see how mild it really is.
When he comes up with his “unbelievable” comment, then tell him he can shoot the .50 cal. if he wants a frame of reference that makes the 30.06 ‘believable’.
