DAYTONA BEACH -- The parents of Trayvon Martin are presenting a scholarship in their son's name during a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in Daytona Beach.
Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin were scheduled to join attorney Benjamin Crump for Thursday's annual banquet, hosted by Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration for Florida, Inc., at the Hilton Oceanfront Hotel to honor the civil rights leader.
Trayvon's parents planned to present the scholarship to a local high-school senior. Crump is giving the keynote address.
