Day two, and “the festival of individual story telling” continues in Park City at the Sundance Film Festival.

(snip)Every year there are several themes that emerge from the dozens of films selected for the festival(snip)that the Sundance selection committee feels need more cultural exposure.(snip)the major themes from 2013.

(snip)anti-capitalism. (There are other themes too, butt I’ll cover them later.) Offered up in this category: “The East,”

terrorists for humanity

"99%--The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film,"

Occupy for humanity

and  my personal favorite, “Inequality of All.”

That’s right little man, we aren’t all equal. Some of us are smaller.

In their own way each of these films makes it clear that at the center of all of mankind’s problems lay the black heart of capitalists.

Any of the above would be a good movie to watch while celebrating National Popcorn Day, butt my pick of the litter, Inequality for All, stars ex-Clinton Labor Secretary, Robert Reich - diminutive by both stature and mental capacity.

A midget by all measures

Bold talk on the terrible capitalism is always expected. The problem is that once you get to a point of saying a replacement is needed...your whole future leads right back to capitalism. In three thousand years....capitalism has survived, and is simply not able to be replaced.

Some of these films will make money if they get long runs in arthouse theatres and some multi-screen theatres

A lot of Sundance films are low-budget, many made for under $5 million...so any distribution means they can make some money.

Although I am quite conservative, I do get a kick out of some of these really liberal films.....”do people actually believe this garbage”?

I do want to see The East because my favorite liberal Ellen Page is in it....she plays some ELF type of character
