Happy Lee - Jackson Day too!

Seriously, how can you celebrate the man who fought to defend slavery?

It's my understanding that Robert E. Lee avoided beverage alcohol:

I like whiskey. I always did, and that is why I never drink it. [...] when you reach middle life, you may need a stimulant, and if you have accustomed yourself to taking stimulants in your early life it will require so much more to have the desired effect at a time when you may need it? How much better it would be if the young man would leave intoxicants in his student days.

In contrast, his younger colleague at West Point, Jefferson Davis, was a bit of what we now call a partier and, along with other cadets, smuggled whiskey into their living quarters.

Nevertheless, both are fine men and along with the wrongly-pilloried Nathan Bedford Forrest, are entitled to a factual analysis -- not the leftist-driven agenda that's being taught in government-run schools to deny them their rightful place in history.

I’m moving to Lee County Florida this summer (can’t wait). Happy B’day General Lee.
